POE 2 Complete PC Freeze while loading screen

"
Lets hope that all the crybabies just refund. It´s probably a difficult situation since it´s also a problem with windows. I having the issue myself but calm down. It´s not the end of the world. They will solve it in a couple of weeks/months.

If you can not wait and you´re going nuts because of it, then you having other issues anyways.

What exactly needs to be solved there? An additional temporary option is being added to the settings, "disable multithreading during loading screens," which automatically disables multithreading when transitioning between locations/during loading screens, and that's all... The option to disable multithreading already exists, so there's no need to invent anything; just make it deactivate before loading and activate after. It's about 10-15 minutes of work, and then you can dig into your buggy code until you're blue in the face to find what causes the crash. Instead, they simply ignore the issue, hoping it will "go away on its own" after the next Windows update? This is just a blatant disregard for the players.

I'm on a 4090 and 9800X3D. I've just been disabling multithreading before every loading screen... limiting cores never worked for me, as well as affinity rules and lasso. I just stopped playing until it's fixed. still a great game, idk why people are having mental breakdowns over a beta state EA game bug while devs are on holiday. just be patient, its not the end of the world.

For folks wondering why developers are comfortable releasing broken games, look no further.

This is the exact solution I had in mind. Just a checkbox for disabling multi-threadin on loading screens as a band-aid fix until they can find a proper fix, or it gets fixed by windows update or similar.

If they don't want to expose this bug in settings they could at least give us a launch option like --disablemultitheadonload or similar to slap on. Just something to make thousands of players not bricking their PCs.
I don't think they said anything about this in the stream, which is extremely concerning. I get that they don't want to acknowledge the crashes so that they can be held liable for bricking PCs, but damn, can we at least get something??
Around 95% of my crashes have been during loading screens, but I do get the occasional freeze during a boss fight, when AFK with the pause screen open, and other random moments. Disabling multithreading is the only thing that has been 100% for me. None of the uninstalling security updates or anything else worked for me. 4090+9800X3D

I'm guessing since they don't have an automatic crash report client, they have no idea how widespread this issue actually is. But then again, there are two 300+ page threads about it on their own forums...
No comment on this huge bug in the recent stream. Looking like refund/chargeback time. GG to GGG.
I'll be charging back tomorrow. Pathetic to not even mention it.
Thanks for sending over your dxdiag outputs.

We are still very aware of this and appreciate your extended patience.

For reproducing this, I found it pretty consistently reproducible by disabling all cores except 1 when launching the game (using something like PoEUncrasher without the realtime part to unfreeze it). For whatever reason it seems to freeze more often the more cores are disabled when launching the game. Don't think that's the case when doing just normal loading screens though.
