This started for me yesterday morning after I had been playing for a few hours. Up until that point I had no issues.
I can reproduce the crash to desktop every time. I did have 1 BSOD but that only occurred once. Steps: Launch Game Select Character Game starts to load, will crash prior to loading level. These are the steps I have tried to fix it. I tried multiple Nvidia Drivers: 566.03 566.14 566.36 I tried all of the following in game settings: DX11, 12, and Vulcan. Settings to Medium, low, basically all minimal. Threading off. After a BSOD I decided to just wipe my PC and start over. Fresh install, BIOS update. I still have this issue. It isn't tied to a specific character because I'm able to log in with my laptop and play it is just specific to my desktop PC. Specs: Win11 Pro. 10.0.22631 Build 22631 Ver23H2 i9-13900KS RogStrix Z790-F GAMING Wifi 128GB RAM Corsair DDR5-6600 Asus Rog Strix Gaming OC RTX4090 24GB Corsair MP600 8TB M.2-2280 |

I have been plagued by this issue for the last two days both in group play with one friend as well as solo. I've tried many things suggested in this post with no results.
What finally worked for me was updating my BIOS and using Process Lasso to always set CPU priority to high for the game (I did both steps at the same time which I know is not best practice but this was my last resort before reinstalling Windows to W10). Setting the priority was also something that helped me eliminate all stutters in PoE1 in the past and I suspect that this might have been more impactful change than the BIOS update. In case it's helpful, I am on the new Ryzen 9800X3D cpu, RTX 4090 gpu and W11 24H2. Last edited by Veerian#0601 on Dec 9, 2024, 4:18:57 PM

Can confirm it still locks and requires a hardware reset on loading screens even in 0.1.0b.
I had the same problem in PoE1 that started after I updated windows to 24h2. | |
" I'm still on w10 and have similar specs to most people in here (amd cpu + nvidia gpu) and have been crashing like a motherfucker. |
