Update:
(7800x3d/rtx4090/24H2/not using Nvidia App, only drivers always) I tried rollback to older windows update version - not helped I tried rollback to older graphic drivers - not helped I tried disable 0 and 1 core on Affinity tab in task manager - not helped I tried PoE uncrasher - not helped I tried play on lowest settings possible - not helped I tried turn off nvidia Reflex - not helped I tried DirectX11, DirectX12, Vulkan - not helped Please stop telling it is not game devs fault. When many and many other games have 0 problems with new windows updates, it is only a GGG fail to not optimize or adapt to new windows update. I never seen game like this drawing so much power from a CPU. You started EA on december and then go to a month long holiday? You cant be serious. Spent real money for this EA was a big mistake. After one week without big problems, freeze while loading screen start again, even using the default settings.

Near 1 month the game is paid. Near 1 month we can't play.
I know it's christmas time and all... but it's like we get slaped on the face every day. The problem is listed ok.. but solutions are AFK for now. It's a really frustrating situation. IDC if it's a windows update problem of compatibility or other things. What i know it's : I can't play this game but play other one.. BTW, if no twitcher or other influent player yell about that, i think our voice will not count.. I'm too frustrated to be kind today.. it's sad. |

Here are just a few companies with piss poor reputations as far as their monetization.
EA Activision Bungie Ubisoft Blizzard 2K Games Games from these publishers are typically big budget, AAA games that are littered with micro transactions and clearly prioritize the bag over consumer satisfaction. Those of us who are dealing with the incessant crashing represent a smaller percentage of the community but there is still no excuse radio silence. What’s the difference between GGG and the aforementioned publishers? None of them have ever shipped a game that bricks the consumers PC in the way POE2 has, ignored it completely, and gone on holiday. Black Ops 6 has a cheating issue but hey at least the game doesn’t freeze your whole PC. Just disgusting. GGG is at the bottom of my ranks and it’s sad cause they’ve actually built a decent product. |

I stopped playing PoE 2 a few days ago and will wait until GGG officially fixes the constant freezing issue. I'd like to keep playing, but I don't feel like using any workarounds.
After all, this is an Early Access title and you just have to expect bugs. Still, I wonder why they released the game just two weeks before Christmas and their apparently planned (and deserved!) vacation. That didn't really give them much time to take care of major bugs beforehand, which you simply had to expect with Early Access. In this constellation, it doesn't help that the freezes are a known problem, as you can read under “Known Issues”. Luckily, this leaves time for other games. |

I tried over half a dozen fixes and nothing works. When are they coming back to the office again? My holiday will soon be over sadly. Gone back to Counter Strike and Diablo 2. I am hard addicted to POE2 right now and this is painful and depressing but whatever, don't wanna brick my brand new PC.

after the latest patch, loading freezes about 1 out of 5 times, previously the documents folder added to the Windows Defender exceptions helped, now - no

" And how many PCs were bricked this way? Do you know exact reason what happened to those PCs? |
|
" Probably to do with having to repeatedly Power Off your PC to escape the complete lock up freeze. |
