POE 2 Complete PC Freeze while loading screen

I'm still having this issue. Really frustrating to have to force shut my pc constantly

Same issue, it started when I made it to act 3 and now it's constantly happening whenever I load into a zone. It's unplayable. Act 3 may be coincidental, as I have also just recently updated to Windows 11 v 24H2.
I load into a zone, the game freezes at the load screen with the gears. I'm then unable to interact with any part of my Windows PC; I cannot CTRL ALT DEL, I cannot CTRL L-SHIFT ESC (to bring up Task Manager). I am forced to hold the power button down on my PC and hard shutdown. NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti Intel Core i9-9900K 3.60GHz Graphics all set to default except also using Nvidia DLSS, but also tried lowering graphics. I have been having this issue non stop since release and I feel like this is degrading my brand new PC...
9800X3D, 4080 Super, 64GB DDR5 I have tried setting POE2 using 2 less CPU cores. This prevents the PC freezing but the game freezes so bad and sometimes I can't even restart my PC. I notice when the freezing occurs, my fan colors revert back to default and are on high speed. This will stay this way until I manually shut off my PC. |

" I had a similar crash last week and haven’t touched it since. Had no video output on the reboot and the AIO lost its display. |

" I highly doubt there would be any Ryzen hardware issue. It's clearly a software problem on some versions of Windows... Running PoE 2 here on various Linux machines, both Ryzen and Epyc, all Nvidia GPUs, and none of them had any issue whatsoever (we have a little LAN party going on since the 6th). |

Logged in to document, having this issue myself. Went from solid 144fps, froze while loading into a trial with a friend and computer wouldn't turn on after. A3 ram slot doesn't seem to be working anymore, sticks seem to be fine. Managed to get the PC to turn on with 16gigs but game is now fps capped at 44 and falls to 10fps in maps. Unplayable even if I weren't scared for something else to break.

I’ve been experiencing constant crashes in Path of Exile 2 whenever transitioning between zones, even ones I’ve visited before. It doesn’t seem to matter whether the zones are newly loaded or revisited—the crashes persist.
I’ve tried several fixes, including making changes to CPU core affinities and various performance settings, but unfortunately, none of these adjustments have resolved the issue. While I’m relieved that my PC doesn’t lock up entirely, the game itself crashes so frequently that it’s become difficult to progress. I’m hoping there’s a fix I haven’t yet tried because this crashing is making the game almost unplayable. Hoping to hear positive something soon :) |
