so you were at everyone's house and stood at the pc and therefore know that it doesn't work? or because people just write it in? how official does it have to be from windows that there is obviously an error with 24h2?

The literal clean install of windows 10 I did on a reformatted SSD that only had win 10 and Poe on it, still crashed.

Just because there are similar issues from windows end, does not mean that is the issue happening in Poe.

I was on 23h2 and freezed. Because of that freeze issue, I updated to 24h2. Freezed anyways. People here said it was that, 24h2, so I formatted and went to a clean install of 23h2 because my pc is brand new. Still frozed.

I tried everything on this forums, to no avail. At some point, it always freezes. Only thing I haven't tried is to go for Win10, because I can't be bothered to format again, and I am not going to enable/disable an option every time I load a new zone.
It is not a windows issue when there's at least one person in this two threads hailing from Linux and having loading screen hard freezes. Windows 10, windows 11 multiple versions, one guy on Linux. Maybe going for 23h2 fixed it for you, it sure didn't fix it for me. So please, stop antagonizing people based on their windows version. Or at least, use a new thread for it and let people who have that problem use this two threads for potential fixes or heads ups.

This is the way!! Game is way smoother.

This is probably the most underrated solution! I confirm, the problem is gone and the loads have become very smooth! Some time ago, I noticed that Windows Defender started very aggressively checking new files and loading the processor. POE 2, when loading locations, creates many cache files in this folder, and the defender starts actively checking them, somehow overloading/breaking the system.


I recommend everyone to check this solution!
