Ive fix the crashes by deleting dx12 cache folder in appdata every 10 or so hours of playing the game.
This is the problem, the gaming isn't clearing it's cache data and it's overflowing into page filing and cpu memory timing. We're basically overvolting our cpu's atm. I guess the safest thing would be to completely uninstall PoE 2 and its data files completely every single day so you start with a fresh version.
My PC froze the very first time i've seen spinning gears on my first PoE 2 game loading, what are you on about ?

I did this myself after steam tried to make up bogus excuses after i supplied them with literally 10 threads across different websites and proof.

And in the game disabling multithreading every like 3rd time switch of instances/teleporting/(before loading screens)
No crashes last 5 days.
I know this is temporary FIX or workaround to actually play a game till they fix it but I want to play the game and not break my PC in meantime.
all of you that were like me furious on forums about the fix and patch
dont get ur hopes high just yet, they need to collect data and fix it and that wont be this month probably and if you want to play a game, try this what Ive told you.
Its not a big of a deal to do this 2 things actually if you want to play a game.
What are the dx12 cache folders exactly that you delete? I'm only deleting the ones in AppData > Local > D3DSCache, but this is not solving my crashings at all.

Brand new 9800X3D User here reporting in.
Crazy spikes to 90C when i see the grinding gears or loading new zone.
Then PC stutters and freezes.
No recovery until i hard reset the PC.
This only happens in YOUR game.
Latest Windows 11 24H2.
Im not playing POE2 Again until you fix it. I dont want to risk my CPU for your buggy game.

Yeah, this.
The first time I encountered this issue was on launch day before the servers even went up. I tried to change from DX12 to Vulkan and my computer froze.

Personally I found a workaround that fixed it for me, I've been playing non stop for the past 2 days and I got only 2 crashes so far (crashes, not full PC freezes like before). Go to Steam and set these in the launch options:
--noasync --nologo --waitforpreload
Play the game on Vulkan, and increase the shader size in your Nvdia control panel to 100gb. For good measure, I also disabled the cores POE2 uses in task manager. This basically fixed it for me, I got like 2 crashes total but I was able to kill the process via task manager.
Placebo.
Did exactly the same, and it is still crashing on the very first GGG gear loading screen.
Sorry to say that, but if it worked for you, it's just a coincidence and not a workaround.

Bumping this. It needs to stay on the first page along with the other thread. Disgusting it hasn’t even been addressed in a post let alone a fix.

REPORT THE GAME ON STEAM
If you are like me and are exhausted of this issue, you can report the game on the Steam store. GGG doesn't appear to be taking this issue seriously, and they do not deserve your hard earned money without at the VERY LEAST communicating to those of us with these problems.
Go to the POE2 store page:
https://store.steampowered.com/app/2694490/Path_of_Exile_2/
Scroll down to where the right hand panel ends, and click the Flag icon to report the game. (Report the Product)
Then add additional information and submit.
+1 on this, mass reviewing the game as negative on steam won't do anything, but reporting the game as bad product with proper additional info will do the trick. If GGG isn't gonna do anything or at least widely say something about this then we will.
