Same issue
i5-12600K with gtx 3060 It seems like, during loading screens, CPU from ~40% spikes up to to 100% crashing the PC. |

There is 115 pages of this bug now. Can you guys stop fixing drop rates, and nerfing skills, and make the game playable. I cant restart 20+ times a day. I cant downgrade windows, This is a windows game, fix it for the h2 version.

My workaround: switch to DirectX 11. Unfortunately it's not really working solution - constant stuttering and with high spikes in shader graph.

My CPU literally died today. My post got deleted from reddit and this really feels unbelievable (rule 5 low effort content....).
Had around 10 freezes and on the 11th my PC never woke up again. CPU was brand new - 9800x3d. Sent it to a local PC shop and they told me the CPU is dead. Never had any issues with it besides POE2. New patch is out. Looks like no fix for load crash.

Same thing happening to me. 9800x3d 4090 64gb ram I can be playing for like 8 hours straight or more with no issues... all of a sudden, when on a waypoint i select a new area to go to, the loading screen shows and the PC completely freezes... sometimes the mouse still moves but i can't click on anything not even control alt delete to show task manager to close the game process.. nothing, the only solution is continuously press the power button until the PC goes off and then power it back on. I even checked the games file for consistency but nothing helped and also remove the cpu OC (which is prime95/OCCT stable btw) to make sure it wasn't me causing the issue. edit: Also, i've noticed when the new areas are loaded there is a huge spike in CPU usage which consequently increases the cpu temperature when loading the new area. i understand that cpu processing will be necessary to load the new area but i think the spike that happens is not very normal as other games also need to load new areas and i have never seen such spikes. This needs fix as it is somewhat anoying - Thanks PS: because not everythig is bad, i just want to take the opportunity as well to congratulate you all at GGG for doing what for me is one of the best games i ever played.
