What are your PC specs? Does it post or give any indication as to what might have failed?

Some possible failures:
HD corruption from resets can prevent booting (best case failure).
CPU high temp or overvolt can kill it
PSU failure from just bad luck and cycling power
Mainboard failure from weird out of spec CPU voltage/temp
Memory failure from who knows what

Just so you guys know, this is not exclusive to PC. I´m on xbox and really concern about my console at this point, as it´s overheating frequently while playing POE 2 and suffering the same crashes and freezes from PC.
Unlike PC, there isn´t much we can change in terms of drivers and configurations to mitigate the issue.. so I´m having to choose between playing and risk bricking my console, or not playing at all.

I just wish they gave us an ETA for the fix.. or advised us on what not to do. At this point I don´t think they´ll even admit the error and notify about the fix, as this would serve as a guilt confession for all those who are having their hardware damaged because of their inertia.

Hey guys, I'm so back after my PC got bricked playing PoE2 only two days before Christmas so I had to troubleshoot over the holidays, because I need it to function for work as well. Even Cyberpunk worked well on max settings days before the PoE2 incident.

TLDR: I only had to replace my Mobo, CPU and Ram hehe fun!

After a clean Windows 10 install it still was freezing and restarting in idle. I had a mix of Q codes. It was booting with 55, I changed Ram sticks (one was indeed defect), then later 22 and no boot. Cleared CMOS, no change. CPU made problems and Mobo had trouble recognizing plugged in USB devices. Good mix I would say!

At least I now upgraded to AM5 and burned a little money (-500 noice).

Hope your hardware stays safe everyone! If GGG wants my hardware for inspection, feel free to message me. I think the only thing I can really do is hope for a refund, unlucky.

This is my first and last post, so don't even bother if your are annoyed by people like me, I just wanted to push this thread with my last piece of remaining holiday spirit.

GGG, why is this not one of, if not the highest priority right now? No update from you since you asked for dxdiag... it's been what a month since this started?

Also, there is a thread on reddit talking about this issue but much like these forums, people are mostly downplaying it or straight up gaslight people into thinking it's entirely on their end. Among the usual excuses like "it is 24H2" and "Early Access, deal with it".

Personally I'm not expecting much progress on this anytime soon but we'll see.

Furthermore, I ask anyone who sees this message to please give a negative review for Path of Exile 2 on Steam. Until GGG gets about and actually does something.

Crash still there. after update, after new pilot on NVIDIA and after little update by windows.

It's also pathetic because this is early access and the devs NEED to know how serious of an issue this is. That's the whole point of EA. Also, the issue is so serious that it's causing actual physical damage to peoples' rigs, so addressing this immediately should be the top priority. It's hard to care about balance changes when this is happening and you can't even play the game.
