Well it is actually the norm. When your game has a bug that does not allow paid customers to play it for a long period of time, you make it up to your players. Generally this is done via providing MTX currency.
Unfortunately for GGG the issue has gone far too long and the vacation bit soured the situation further so the amount they should give based on other similar cases has become an incredible number. It is their decision to either face the music or just downplay it.
In my opinion they will decide to try downplaying it but then this PR nightmare will never end for GGG. "Important people"-we all know who- at Tencent have been asking questions and putting pressure on Sixjoy.
On a side note it is good to know that you agree on the other points I have made.
Furthermore, I ask anyone who sees this message to please give a negative review for Path of Exile 2 on Steam.
Yeah, only an idiot would disagree that this should've been fixed before they all left on vacation but it's clear the issue may be more complicated on their end than it may seem to us. I couldn't play this game at all the first few days because of the crashes. I've since used PoEUncrasher ever since it was released and haven't crashed once. I'm now on 150 hours played.
Ive tried POEUncrasher - Still hard locked my computer (had to reset)
Ive tried disabling cores between loading screens - Still freezes the game on almost every map loading screen (doesn't hard lock the pc, but game is unplayable due to constant crashing and restarting)
Ive tried disabling all other processes except POE2 - Still hard locked my computer (had to reset)
I was on the verge of reverting back to 23H2 windows 11 update, but due to seeing people on the 23H2 windows 11 version still having issues with pc hard locks, I decided not to revert back.
I shouldn't have to spend hours of my time troubleshooting my computer, and my windows, and my specs because the game is horribly coded and is faulty. At this point, its not a game I am even attempting to play anymore. I really should be requesting a refund on Steam, but $30 is just not worth the effort for me.

Anyone still experiencing this issue, go into your Task Manager>Processes and Set the Affinity of PathOfExile to NOT use CPU 0 and CPU 1. This will allow your PC to have enough resources leftover if PoE Freezes to close the game or cause it to crash the program instead of your OS.
I have been doing this for 1 week and have had 0 hard OS freezes requiring a restart.
You have to do this every time that you start the game. You can add args into steam launch to always launch with the affinity set to this but don't ask me how.
It's amazing to me that people do this manually each time instead of just using PoEUncrasher which does it for you automatically.
It's amazing to me that people dont think downloading some random exe from github and using it on a live service game isnt a recipe for getting permanently banned
it might be fine but unless the developers specifically say it is OK to use youre just asking for trouble
Imagine if GGG had the audacity to ban the users of PoEUncrasher.
We would probably see this on business schools as a case study in no time.

I cannot send/reply to direct messages because my in-game character has not finished Act 1.
What to do:
1)Write a short review about the hard crashes in notepad.
2)Copy and paste it to steam reviews, put up a negative review.
3)Copy and paste it to steam discussions, put it up there.

FWIW, my last hail mary this week was a clean install of 23H2 windows 11 and I'm still experiencing all the same issues as before. Hopefully that's several hours I can save you from wasting.

I played PoE2 for 100's of hours manually turning off multi-threading before every loading screen, until it came to my attention that you could just use task manager to limit # cores that PoE2 is allowed to use.
Since then i played just fine up until earlier today, 4 hard freezes of PoE2 in the span of 30 mins, literally could not load in further than my hideout.
Whatever they did with the server maintenance they had earlier today, seriously fucked something bad.
Now i'll try using PoEUncrasher to see if that makes the game playable beyond the comfort of my hideout.

This is just more confirmation that I made the right choice not to revert back to 23H2. Thank you.
Its just plain stupid that ggg hasn't fixed this issue yet. But according to JR he doesn't care if they lose all the new players, they only need 30k players to pay all their salaries and keep making the game how they want. (he literally said this in an interview)

It isn't a recipe for getting banned, why would it be?
using an unverified 3rd party app to modify the game/client behavior
you must be new to live service gaming?
...its cute you clowns try to disagree with me then say the same thing i said it does using different words. try harder next time i still wont care and neither will anyone else if it gets you banned
just because some random account in a forum told you to use it doesnt mean it is ok to use.

I'm now new, you can see my account age.
It's not modifying the client and/or the client behavior at all... Selecting cores is a basic windows feature. PoE will simply use what cores are available to it. Assigning less cores isn't modifying anything on the game.
But I've argued with people like you before, there's no point, you will say it's doing that until the end of times. So goodbye and have fun!

We're still at 81% green thumbs ups.
Here's a little song I wrote, that Pink Floyd wrote first.
So ya
Thought ya
Might like to
Play PoE2.
To see that worm shill of seclusion,
And space bar dodge roll.
I've got some bad news for you sunshine,
GGG isn't well, they stayed back at the hotel
And sent no one along as surrogate devs
We're gonna find out where you folks really stand!

Tried poe uncrasher and it didn't crash but my 9800x3d temp still spiked to 87c instantly zoning into an area. Something is seriously wrong with this games loading.
