Hard crashing PC locks up

To help the troubleshooting effort, I can confirm adding an exclusion for the Path of Exile 2's Roaming AppData in Windows Defender resolved the crashing between zones for me

i.e.
Exclude the path below in Windows defender and then reboot your PC
(Obviously replace "<username>" with your username)

C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Path of Exile 2

Hope this helps :)

PoeUncrasher by Kapps is working great actually TY kapps!!

anyone who is complaining here without trying this is just a troll and doesn't deserve any further help.

Tried it. Didnt work. Guess I "deserve" further help.

What a stupid take, kid.
We will not be seeing a fix in 2024.

Let this be a lesson for us all. Do not trust streamers. All that "Blizz bad!", "Ubisoft evil!!", "Bad EA"... Yet with GGG all of them are playing possum.

Furthermore, I ask anyone who sees this message to please give a negative review for Path of Exile 2 on Steam.
I cannot send/reply to direct messages because my in-game character has not finished Act 1. I apologize for any unanswered messages.
here the solution i found

power option > high performance and disable cpu c-states (find it on youtube)
then change dx12 > vulkan

it work for me like weeks with 1-2 pc crash

disable cpu c-states make you cpu run at 100% even on idle so don't forget to change power option back when not playing poe2
Yeah I'm getting wary of playing POE2 until a fix is across the board here. I've had to hard shut down around 8-9 times and I've had my PC 2 years, I've never had to hard shutdown (to be honest I thought for a while that forced hard shutdown would corrupt my computer immediately) so the concern is really high atm with this.
same issue here, new pc, no problems with other games. Launching zones hard crash my computer. Very frustrating, I'm going to wait to any fix for GGG. Very early access I think.
AMD Ryzen 3600
TUF B450-Pro
32GB DDR4
RTX 2060 SUPER (latest stable driver)
Windows 11 24H2 (latest stable)

All running on stock and no issues in any other game.

I hard-lock uniquely during loading screens after several minutes of play.

I have logged all temp sensors in my system multiple times and I have more than 30% to 50% margin to rated max of any component.

Setting core affinity of POE2 process to exclude CPU0 and CPU1 will allow windows to survive the game locking and sometimes the game will cease execution without a single trace in logs or Windows Event Viewer.

Setting the POE2 process to Real Time priority allows the game to avoid locking all together so far.

****************************************
THERE IS CLEARLY A DEADLOCK ISSUE between different priority processes running in privileged Kernel space (likely drivers) having a circular dependence between them.
****************************************

Having both core affinity and process priority adjusted everytime I launch the game does reveal some useful hints I believe:
- When the loading screens appear to want to lock my system, all my currently loaded apps that have at least one GUI window whether minimized or not flash quickly within a couple of frames before returning to game rendering. So the UI compositing of Windows appears to get a full reset.

I suspect some kind of issue in the area of either the GPU or CPU drivers in handling graphical resources being loaded from files and the game attempting to load them into GPU memory.

1. Open the start menu and search for windows security
2. In Windows Security, open Virus & threat protection
3. Under the "Virus & Threat protection settings", press "Manage Settings"
4. Scroll all the away down to "Exclusions" and press "Add or remove exclusions"
5. Press "Add an exclusion" and select folder
6. Navigate to "C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming"
7. Select the "Path of Exile 2" folder and press select folder
8. Reboot PC
5600 + 4070 brand new, fearing of frying it, i cant pass the first loading screen, several times i make a hard reset.

Tried uncracsher but not working neither with poeuncrasher

But atleast with uncrasher i can close everytime i try to play the game and it crashes in the first loading screen i dont know why im still trying, im on holiday and i can't play a game that i payed 30€ to play.

A friend of mine told me to play poe2, i never tried poe1 and i played for 2 weeks without problems and i can say its a great game but he said to me that GGG are good devs that they care about their community, now i see they are the same shit like every company when they get money.

I hope no one get his computer fucked up by this retards making nothing to repair the game.
