Hard crashing PC locks up

i strongly recommend people whos having frequent hard freezes and needing to manual restart to stop playing it till GGG does some fix, or it will highly increase the chances of corrupting files on your computer, such as windows and/or personal datas. and theres the 'bug' of the cpu using more than it should that may be one of the causes to the OS complete crash, can potentially degrade the health or lifespan of the cpu by some extent.

If you want to play polished game, wait till release. Nobody forces you to play EA. It's not job. If the game somehow managed to break your PC, blame your vendor and hardware manufacturers.

This bug migrated from POE1. Is POE1 the polished game or should I wait till release?

one of reasons i stopped playing poe1, started playing poe2 with hope that problem doesn't happen but sadly they ported it..
I put a couple of hundred hours into settlers on the same machine and never had a hard crash. The only difference for PoE2 is that im now on 24H2 which everyone says is not the problem...

GGG is on vacation do not expect any fix for next 2 weeks.

Workaround is to park 2 cores during loading, this will prevent some crashes and convert 99% of them from hard freeze to crash to desktop.

You can use:
1) https://github.com/Kapps/PoEUncrasher easiest option, just run (can also not as admin) and done
2) process lasso (uncheck affinity core 0/1 always)
3) manualy in task manager -> details -> poe exe -> uncheck cpu 0/1 (need to do it every start of game)

Used some forum sparkles here to get attention, sadly OP does not care to update first topic, nor GGG care to sticky workaround.

The PoEUncrasher is the solution we all dream of. never crashed or freeze with it since i use it. Gratz

its actually not the problem. I had 24H2 installed 3 days before POE 2 launch. First few days of POE I had 0 crash, 0 freezes and stable 80 fps. all issues started few days after. I just dont remember if it was at the same time when they patched the loot drop change or in different day.

We don't know. That's why we are trying to report and gather data. But that's besides the point?

Objectively if PC's are destroyed/bricked there's no way to provide logs since said PC's are destroyed. That's truth, you have to bring it to a service center for analysis.

The best people can do is be specific about the mutual sequence of events on what happened.

and these reports should be taken more seriously than just trying to fight the guy posting about it. There is a big differenced between doomposting and factual analysis on the events that happened and its repercussions. Good day to your Sir.

The problem with that people, they tend not to call a spade a spade due to lack of knowledge. For example if $MFT has been damaged (and not fixed after hard crash) they call it "My PC broken and doesn't boot up". It's not PC broken but the single file related to NTFS or EX. The other problem is that some of them already had hardware defects or poorly designed components like Intel 13 / 14 gen or first revisions of X3D CPU series, they can't hold high CPU loads because they had trashy PSU / motherboard (chinese VRMs), shitty cooling system and things like that.

Seriously? You were dreaming about workaround and not actual fix? Okay.

Well, I know exactly what the game fried on my computer and it's the entire PCIe bus. GG, GGG.

my man I have noctua nh-d15 on my ryzen 5 3600X CPU. Wukong cant heat that shit up and u are telling me the that shaders in loading screen can force my CPU into 100% and overheat state based on the error of POE crash I checked? Dont be silly

Look man at the end of the day: That's the reality for these people.
Not everyone is Tech-fluent/Inclined/Educated and sometimes its hard for them to describe something according to your expectations.

May be the reality for some, but not all.

"
Trashy PSU/Motherboard Chinese VRM's

May be true but at the end of the day these are just assumptions, till proven otherwise.. but the reality is some people actual have very expensive RIGS to their name that are experiencing the same thing. So yeah at this point this is Conjecture.

Regarding Poorly Designed Components, Hardware Defects & Intel 13/14 Gen of the first revision of X3D CPU series

You can't really expect the average consumer to know this right? Again these are still just assumptions your making.

To my Conclusions:
It's not our place to say: Your too stupid to play this game, Your too poor to play this game, You can't play this game because you can't troubleshoot something that's oh so simple for me.

This game was meant to be accessible to the public, and accessible as it may be GGG has posted the minimum requirements required to run it.

An Average Person will take a look at those specs and say i think i can run it.
"
I shouldn't have a problem except for In-game bugs, that i'm willing to report.

EA shouldn't ruin their overall total experience with the game because the minimum specs are there.

You may need to be more empathetic towards these people's experiences and offer more rational and non-aggressive feedback in dealing with their concerns & fears. Because like you and me, they are a consumer that have paid too.
