Monik390, Good afternoon, please tell me how you managed to insert the stone " Heightened curse"? I don't have the spirit.(I have 362 sp).

I have Blasphemy, Archmage, Clarity, CoC on the 1st weapon set.
352 spirit reserved.

Blink on the second weapon set, I don't use it much.

Monik390,Thank you very much!
Thanks Monik.

Very interesting post.

I played a while with double curse on blasphemy (without heightened because of spirit)
And I thought it was better at mapping but in simulacrum, casting conductivity had a much stronger effect.
I liked it though.

I am very end game now and my really issue I think is mana sustainability.
I invested 0 in mana regeneration but I have 10% on kill.

I can never slam the button like SW though because spark cost 650 Mana and chrono don’t have great arcane surge like SW

So the question is more. How much cast speed is too much and how much mana regen feels good.

I also died from the electric trap in trial of chaos. CoC on the boss. Deplete mana pool and died to the shooting trap.

For trial of Chaos. Maybe Everglades is better. I don’t farm it much anymore though

You'd use Melting Maelstorm more often fr. I have 603 spark cost, 614 mana regen and I don't need any more bc of the flask.
The answer is the same for your survivability issues. Prepare to spam flask on bosses.

Anyway, I need to clarify something here. We don't need to spam Spark like SW and shouldn't, bc there is some mechanical build difference.

~~~~
- I have 140k (50k avg hit, 0.36s cast speed) spark dps on Chrono, and 110k (45k avg hit, 0.41s cast speed) on SW ingame during the combat. I have way more uptime of the offering on Chrono (bc 22s duration, it's almost a habit to use), while on SW I rarely use it (can't recall the duration, about 12-16 seconds).
- Chrono has Ambush, SW has Lightning Rod and more shock magnitude. I won't do math, but the clear with Spark feels literally the same (I got that proj speed wheel on Chrono instead of Thin Ice/Heavy Frost wheel and consider to allocate same duration wheel).
~~~~

Next is CoC vs CoS comparison:

- CoC helps during trash clear a lot (there is a fuckton of comets here and there), while CoS offers almost 0 help with trash. That is why I allocated Branching Bolts on SW, and didn't on Chrono.

- Against bosses, LC on my SW > Comet on my Chrono. It's instakill with double 60-75% magnitude, while Comet has some time before hit.

- Against rares Comet > LC. CoC is way more reliable than CoS here and procs significantly more often.

~~~~
Last is CC:
- For SW it's only electrolucte, and kitoko gloves are absolutely superior to electrolute support.
- Chrono has aoe slow, frost wall (bludgeon/freeze), and Time Freeze. Actually can fit electrolute support instead of Pierce if allocate Branching Bolts.
~~~~

So, basically, SW survive, clear, and do damage only by spamming Spark, Chrono isn't about spamming Spark at all - there are more buttons to press.

~~~~
Honestly, I do recommend Spark-LC SW for less effort gameplay, since you can afford it with ease (45d for controlled meta+shield+jewels, for the rest just slap your chrono gear). I feel like you have so many problems with Chrono bc of controller, and 1-button gameplay should suit you more.
Personally, I prefer Chrono bc of its CC. It just feels better than a single Electrolute. I'm fine with using mana flask too.
Hey Masamune69. Please let me know what supports you're running with Nova.
After someone very kind soul giving me 60divs (I guess they're leaving the league), I've done some upgrades. Now have 4.4k mana and can now burst the wall with 1 nova.
I'm currently using Astral projection (of course), Ambush, Arcane Tempo, Cold Penetration (this might be a waste). I don't have a Perfect orb yet for the Nova.
And I see what you mean re Chaos bosses. I've noticed my mana zero from the machine gun Comets. I'm still running with Everlasting Gaze, so that has saved me lot of times. I think I'll need a ton more mana before I can feel brave enough to lose ES. Or, lose CI and get Chaos res.
I think the only way to now improve my mana enough to get 6k+ mana is a Dream Frag. I can probably get 5k with maxing out mana on various gear but won't get to 6k without Dream Frag.
PS. Monik, I'm keen on trying Spark but I don't think I'm quite there on stats.
Hi, I followed this guide, despite I'm getting good damage with CoC, my DPS with frostbolt is low.
I assume it's 100% necessary clear waves with frost wall + frostbolt, sure? I'm on 9K DPS with frostbolt.
I'm following the late game variant, endgame is too expensive for me.
I'm no expert but I don't think you need to do damage with the Frostbolt itself. Its main purpose is to just burst the wall (and I guess to add a bit of extra damage and chill/freeze buildup).
EDIT: I assume you're using the Snakepit ring? Without that, you'll probably have a hard time bursting the wall.
Opps, sorry, I must have gotten you mixed up with someone else in this post.
I'm not quite at the endgame (with those mega expensive jewels and Dream Frag) but I'm quite near, maybe I'll try Spark and see how it goes.
If we could change ascendency, I would try SW, mainly for Arcane Surge and the extra mana. But I will not maje a new character until new league or if they release the remaining chararcter.
I am reworking my tree. I have only 60k DPS with Spark and 35% crit. 300Mana/s regen. I want to push to 140K Spark. I set up path of building 2 today. It takes a while but it works well now. I can test gears without buying them.
I will update once it looks good
For those wanting to stick to cold skills like i do (or not really a fan of dipping into spark), here's a frostnova+icewall variant clearing juiced content at relatively decent speed. Just wanted to showcase cold spells as still viable
