You can redeem this key in Steam, like any redeemable game.
There won't be a standalone GGG client for PoE2 it seems, you need to redeem the key either on Epic or Steam. |

Just to clarify, you can obtain an Early Access key by purchasing one of our new Supporter Packs. The first Early Access Key that you receive is automatically applied to your account. This will give you access to the Standalone PC client for Path of Exile 2. Accounts with Early Access can navigate to the Early Access section of their account page to find Client Keys. The Client Keys can be used to activate a client for Steam or Epic Games. Need help with anything? Please contact us at support@grindinggear.com for assistance.

" Ok, I still dont get it :D 1) I am able to play Early Access and 2) I transfered the Key given into my steamaccount. 3) I got it in my library but cant download it. 4) Confused due to standalone-setup - maybe you can help? Thanks in advance! Don`t forget RL.

Unfortunately, the Steam client is not currently available for pre-loading in the same way the the Standalone client is. If you wish to play through Steam you will have to download the client when the Early Access launches. Need help with anything? Please contact us at support@grindinggear.com for assistance.

I don't understand the statement under early access -"Please note this key only unlocks the client in your library, it will not provide early access to your account and should not be given away." What good is having the client if I cannot play the game? At least that's what the statement implies.
I was able to use the key in Steam and I downloaded the game. It shows up in my library but is not playable. Instead it says "Planned Release Date: coming soon" So what gives? Do I need to pay to play? I thought that all my past transactions qualified me for the key that I was given and that would let me play...but this doesn't appear to be the case. " The steam key is so you can download the path of exile 2 software in Steam. After you run PoE2 in steam, it will ask you to log in. Your account then needs a PoE2 early access key. To tell if you have that, go here: https://www.pathofexile.com/my-account/early-access If your account is set up with Early access, it will say at the top "Your account is eligible for Path of Exile 2 Early Access". |
