Winnions as Infernalist or Gemling

My ideas are

for Infernalist: I wanna use regular minions and SRS while casting fireballs and have fun.
Ascenency nodes: 10 > 1 > 7 > 8/9

for Gemling: I wanna use minions and do anything while having fun.
Ascenency nodes: 4 > 5 > 7 > 1 or 4 > 5 > 1 > 2/3

Tell me why it's wrong.

Have fun playing!

I'm thinking about going for a minion build too as an infernalist.

I plan to go hellhound first as you do since I think this minion would be pretty strong early game, hope it also scales well in the endgame.

Then probably go demon form, then with additional spirits (node 1 then 3) to have more permanent minions. But I think if you stick with SRS, after hellhound, you may want to go 7 and 9. I think 8 is unnecessary as SRS already do fire damage, ignition and stuff.

For the last two points for SRS, I'm thinking maybe demon form if SRS is still a spell gem and can be benefited by this node.

I have heard through the grapevine that in the first patch we have access to. When you transform into Demon Form, all your minion despawn. That's why I do wanna go that route as well.

Talking about nodes 7, 8 and 9. My idea with the Infernal Flames is to have nice regen at that point to be able to use the bonus we get from low infernal flame or high infernal flame.

Ohhh geez! I had forgot about node 3 - Beidat's Will :O!
I might go that node instead of going the "7 > 8/9" route.

Also, keep in mind that SRS go off when you cast a fire spell, so Demon form + a fire spell + Infenal flames combo will probably be a good idea when you have enough gear to tank the damage you take.
I'm going to hazard a guess that Gemling will be difficult to do minions with as most if not all of the minion passives will be on the opposite side of the board.

I second this. Note as well (for seasoned PoE 1 players) that there is nothing similar to cluster jewels, unless I missed a big thing, so there is no way to sneak minion nodes closer to the start. (and if so Titan would be the way to go anyway !)

Even Invoker might be a better option, as he starts close to minion nodes, has defensive options and spirit in ascendancy, but I've no idea how much huge a penalty is "can't gain spirit from equipment" so I wouldn't try it either.
Yea like Swifthisle said 100%
Early beta infernalist might be better due to closer to the good points, but later game gemling might be more power, hard to say haven't really looked at "leaked" data.

But yea both seem really strong, maybe even the bagman with extra power to small nodes might be super strong. Have to test ;)
Also when Druid hits it might shift the summoner meta, but hard to say since not much leaks on it yet (i think)
I probably will end up going Infernalist, but I am very tempted to try a chronomancer for 'enemies in your presence are slowed..', '30% dmg recoup', temporal rift and time freeze. I think that adds up to 8 points...

This setup (chronomancer) provides 0 damage. It might be an option after you farm some gear/currency with your starter.

I don't think Bringer of Flame is going to be that good unless you are able to cause multiple ignites on each enemy, Im going with a similar setup but going with Seething Body for 20% of damage as fire. I'm still debating of going CI to completely negate 20% of my physical damage thru Altered Flesh, as I'd be chaos immune.

More than likely the boost to smaller nodes will be the nodes within the Titan Ascendancy itself and not across the entire passive tree. If it affects the whole board it will be hands down the most OP ascendancy we've possibly ever seen.
