contagion/persistence/magnified effect

I really recommend unleash on contagion, this will help a lot with targeting.
With unleash on contagion you can drop pierce and/or chain on ed for more damage/qol. Really recommend to put persistence on ED: larger duration makes life much nicer, especially on bosses.

Also, really like Dark Effigy, it can easily stack wither to max and poison, so you can drain ailments later.

despair/decaying hex/impending doom/withering touch

With Dark effigy, you would be able to put withering touch there to easily max wither and replace it with heighten curse on despair for even more -res.

I'm actually wondering if the DoT effect of ED can crit now in PoE2, as it shows crit chance as well as crit damage in the DoT part of the skill description...

best support gems for ED?
I struggle to find anything atleast useful apart swift affliction, chain and that +1 chaos gem supp. Why all supp gems are so bad for ED?

Oh lord, ed contagion to beat act 2 boss is a real struggle, fights take at least 15min with mana issues..

Ive been using ED, Swift Affliction, and trying to decide ona third. Mostly been running Control Destruction, but also tried arcane tempo for the faster casting wh ich feels nice but drains mana really quickly. I also agree WASD is the way to go, once I got use to it, the playstyle has been a lot of fun.

pretty sure controlled destruction destruction doesnt work on dot part and thus is useless for essence drain
