I went infernalist and for the campaign demon form is quite strong. I think I am going to regret this if I play this character into endgame though. The primary issue is that demonform disables your weapon, and from what I understand end game weapons will likely be even more powerful than demonform anyway.

But if nothing else there is lots of access to defensive capabilities in this ascendancy and so that was my idea for picking it. Be tanky enough to live while my dots kill everything.

Bloodmage tbh could probably do this better, and now that I am learning about some of the later skills I do some potentials for synergy that I did not before.

The big question on my mind currently is how useful/useless is the hellhound going to be for a build not focusing on minion passives.

Very keen to see how this goes. I'm running Chay Acolyte Monk to get some chaos damage buffs from ascendency, and passive tree location is right next door so I can pick up loads of chaos + curse nodes too.

Bossing is a major rip. Maybe once I get access to more curses it will be a bit better.

Trying to build this but have no idea where to go on the passive tree, any tips while the full guide isn't out?

Trying to do the same but instead of recoup i go to energy shield. a little bit hurt :(

I was having a tough time with melee monk in act2 so i switched to ed con witch and now am in act3 and It's going very well! I thought I would chime in with what skills / supports I am using to help others or to be critiqued.

"i read some earlier posts about having trouble with targeting, pierce helps a ton, you can contagion at random in groups and then with pierce on essence drain it will hit them"

i went blood mage but i will say sanguimancy made bossing harder this prob will change after i do my second ascendancy i hope
