What do you guys think about loot filters?
For years now I've used a filter I customized that replaced all drop sounds with various calls from "Bunger" from the game Bugsnax, and I'm going to be really sad to not have it right away in poe2.

" i also make my own, but i use Filterblade for the UI in writing blocks- its very helpful in creating tiers for rare items, and you can just click on bases you want to move depending on your progress. but recently they removed the option to save your filter state to a file, beside the one in cache, which is a shit move forcing you to link your poe account to the site. |

I would rather have 1000 loot filters to choose from rather than 0.
Look, in Last Epoch, which has great built in loot filter, I personally don't even care about it and I always just import one. I believe this is not as important and whether you have to import one from the website or select in-game, has almost zero real impact on the game. What is important is the fact you can filter your loot in some way. D4 bad. Last edited by Waiden#9514 on Nov 29, 2024, 7:32:04 AM

I know some players can't seem to play arpgs without one, but for me it's no big deal. I'm in no rush when I'm playing so I don't mind checking what drops.

" Just to clarify: I dont find lootfilters owerwhelming, I never said this. But I don't enjoy spending my time on writing loot filters, which I think at some point would become necessary if you want to be effective. I also used Neversinks filters, like most people did. The filters are overall pretty good, but they miss on important build-specific items usually that you also want to get. See my large and detailed feedback on poe1 (Settlers league) here:

I think Loot filters are great.
However, PoE 2 missed how great it felt in Last Epoch the first time you played it and items drop identified. My first initial reaction was every game should do this. It would make the loot filter work much better IMO rather than having to fill up your inventory and ID items just to vendor. It literally will be billions of clicks in the next ten years if they don't change it. Just drop the item Identified for us. It just makes sense. I don't really consider it a loot filter at this point its going to be more like a currency / show all uniques. And some of the bases you might be chasing to craft on. For a very long time Einhar Memories did not show up on your mini map using Filterblade if they were out of range like a chaos orb. With a little tweaking you could make it show up like a divine and Bam you are finding them all over the place. True Story. A loot filter that can filter ALL loot would be amazing. I think if we "NEED" loot filters then they messed up.
