Feels like a scumbag moment from GGG

Allways the broks cry. I cant belive. The people still dont understand the Video game is a hobby. If you dont have money for your hobby then search a cheaper hobby.
So simple. I bought the Diablo 4 digital delux. It was 90 euro or something and the game is still in beta. So 30 euro for a game wich have 3x more content then diablo 4 wich is still in beta not that bad price i think. ( near to free ) Btw i was Blizzard fann and Diablo 4 hit the nail in the coffin. Never ever anything from this trash company. I left behinde my account with many many Collector editions, rare pets, mounts, micro transactions.Never ever again. |

The entitlement is real. The game will be F2P, just wait for it to release and then play. What, you can't wait, and now you have to pay? Well, that's a skill issue, a you problem.

" you get mtx for the price and credits to spend its a good deal its just early access |

" The game is releasing next year, not this year, and when it does it will be free. Yes there is an early access test phase but that is fomo on your part. Heart of Purity

I would have paid more.
I think 30 is more than fair. |

" If you know ahead of time that a $60 game is going F2P in 6 months then that is your fault for not waiting to pay it. But some games do this without knowing and that part is bad. So your argument is not good. And last time I checked there are games out there that are $60 but to pay it 3 days early, it will cost you $100. So let's do some math here that is a $40 increase for only 3 days of early access. In this game, you can think of it as 6 months of early access for only $30. They are similar in that in the early access whether it is 6 months or 3 days you are playtesting it. Ryzen 9900x, 32gbs, RX 9070XT

I'm absolutely baffled by the amount of entitlement in these threads. POE1/POE2 didn't just appear out of nowhere. People developed it. Those people don't develop it out of the kindness of their heart; they get a paycheck so they can survive. The servers that host the game isn't some magic entity that runs on hopes and dreams. They cost money.
They have to monetize their product somehow. If it is not things like this, then it will be somewhere else. No one has to play the early access. No one is forced to buy it. No one misses out on playing POE2 if they don't buy early access. Buying EA may very well create a boon of money for GGG that helps to support players that can't pay anything to play the game. I would argue this is one of the best ways to monetize the game because it creates a spike in revenue that lets them continue to run with this model that doesn't otherwise require you to spend a dime to play the actual released game. The whole "I don't want to pay to be a beta tester" argument is junk too. Then don't pay. Seriously. It's that simple. I would argue the worst thing GGG did was tell us that POE1 and POE2 were the same game, causing some of us to feel like our money that was originally spent in support of POE1 was a bait and switch to get money for POE2. Paying for early access? Not even close to unreasonable. Thanks for all the fish!

" No. "Scumbaggery" would be to advertise it as free and then add the 30$ pricetag. They have stated from day 1 that EA is not free. |
