POE 2 early access paywall

Requiring profits to run a business = unethical .. duh
If it is ok to milk your fans for money then you shouldn't complain when other companies are doing it. Simple

Can't post opinions here now? What, are you afraid you'll get a bad case of buyer's remorse or something?

You can. You just can't expect others to not have an opinion about that and voice it.

I am not paying them shit, I've already given them enough. Surprised how many people support this crap just cuz "game is good". They'd be right there in the trenches bashing any other AAA game developer who tried this

If you did you would get a key for free, apearently its not enough. People dont have problem with EA but all the shady bs around it like fully functional, constantly updated p2w item shop or 20 different tiers with various in game bonuses etc. GGG earned the trust.

You sure can but expect to be called out on stupidity.

He told me to STOP. He was trying to silence my opinion. This is different.
ehh... Just vote with the wallet... If you don't like the idea just wait for main release. If you like buy and enjoy:) I don't mind paying that 30$ even for the beta testing - because it is fun to me.
And really? That big of a deal for 30$, in reality 1 maybe 2 visits in cinema which gives like 3 hours max of fun cost that much... Heck, 2 beers in the club cost probably more:)

Every company needs to earn money to pay the bills, and if there is large pool of people who would like to pay that reasonable price to be able to check stuff out earlier and help with feedback, whats wrong with monetising it - its free choice of every player whether to buy or wait

That strategy don't work. Other people vote with their wallets too. That is Why "free to play" game are here to stay while many people hate it. You will most definitely lose.

Will not paying for early access change these video game companies behaviours? It doesn't appear to change anything.

Is it bad? If product is bad then this strategy works great (see disney and priorities change after recent financial disasters). Here we have product which can defend itself on its own and yes, such strategy can probably not make much of the change:) Simple demand and supply:)

I am talking about money Politics. People with no money would have no vote. And people with lots of money would have lots of votes.

Let say I am a billionaire. I buy GGG from Tencent and make POE 2 "pay to win" because I love money more than Tencent and GGG.

There is probably nothing you can do about it. Theorectially, I outvoted you and it will make lots of money.
