who else hates their number
Yeah, kinda obliterates any sense of uniqueness. But, whatever. =9[.]9=

" did you contact support for 6666? they are telling me they cant change them, but support has lied before to me falsely banning me saying they detected me using a bot to register an expired character name - when in reality it was a bug with changing the clock forward on your computer to learn the exact second the name would "clear" on their servers. Which I explained to them how to do via email. instead of thanking me for showing them the bug, they ignored me, and reinstated that it was a "bot" that was used to register the character name. Once i posted on reddit i finally got an unban but never an apology. its all so tiresome. imagine paying hundreds of dollars to support a tiny dev studio in beta and them just to give you a random discrim years later with no option to change it. | |

They shouldn't show our unique #'s and just our names. They should also allow us 1 free name change. GGG is not impressing me.
they should also limit the amount of supporter packs one can display on the forum. I don't need to scroll 2 pages because someone paid 20k in supporter packs and I now scroll down a wall to see absolutely nothing but someone else's dedication lulz. I can't believe I'm saying this, but Blizz has a better system than GGG for names. That's for certain. Last edited by CloudIVXX#4358 on Nov 17, 2024, 11:18:11 PM

I contacted Support as I had 666 in my number, which I was not happy about at all. They did change my number but I also requested at the same time that I got a new name, I have never wanted to bother them before about my account name but I didn't like my account showed part of my real name but when I started in Open Beta ??2013, security & privacy issues weren't really a problem online.
But I think they could only change my number as they changed my account name. Apparently the numbers are randomly generated and they can't actually change them - maybe that's a work around for some. I have always found Support to be amazing, you always hear back quickly, sometimes the answer mayn't be what you wanted but you do hear back within a few hours. IGN: Keewee

I'll be honest: it looks really bad.
Now I hope the charnames stay unique, otherwise one completely loses their ingame identity. edit: Would be funny if the randomnumber is your seednumber. I don't mind the number, much, but it should not necessarily show all the time.

Where are those 160 de99ials? Where?
I guess it must have beed added kinda chrono but for all no matter what name is before. And if You ask for change Youll get new one. But thats just speculation. |

I like the random numbers. My guess is that the discriminators will eventually be hidden unless you mouse over the name or something, as they aren't meant to be a visible part of your identity. It's just there to make sure that you can get your name without having to pretend that you're making a Hotmail account in 2001.
