Could we get some new spin on the settlers league mechanics specifically?
A few things I'd like to see personally: increased rune drop rates from shipping, and being able to runecraft uniques.
I barely got to interact with runesmithing despite 40/40ing the league and levelling many chars to 99 because a lot of the characters I played used unique weapons and/or the rune costs for the higher end ones were insane. I'd probably be playing SSF but if the only thing to look forward to is spam dropping divines for an hour every hour then I may just sit this one out til POE2 / an actual new league.

Poe2 wont impact Poe1 btw. Except it did for at the very least 2 years now, destroying 4 leagues a year cycle AND we had no expansions since 3.17. And if that wasnt enough, we now will have basically a 6 month league. I mean, i truly believe that settlers relaunch with lantern and the way it will work is kinda unwelcomed. For some it might be better then nothing, but "mods are the same for all players and rotate once per hour" like what? Is this it? Boats and rain of chaos? I would have rather preferred prenerfed affliction than this piece of shi... And i mean, late January announce? Like what? 6.5 month league AT BEST? So, i believe it will be around 7-8 month looking how u have neglected Poe1 for 2 years. But did you even start working on 3.26 (haha, rhetorical question) I mean, there is for sure a ton of players eagerly waiting for Poe2, but arent you going a bit too far to launch Poe2? What about your own words that Poe1 wont suffer cus of Poe2? Why is it always so hard to just keep your promise? You just had to have all hands working on Poe2 and forget about everything you said, just like you always do btw, to just launch the game and make it so u can launch leagues in Poe1 and Poe2 with 1.5 month in between them basically selling new support packs every 1.5 months. And i mean, thats totally fine you need to make profit, but it just shows that you are no better then any other company (yes yes, that one company) My disappointment is immeasurable and my year is ruined.
i think you're misconstruing your information.
when did GGG ever mention that poe2 development wont affect poe1?
GGG DID mention that RUTHLESS mode would not affect POE1. but thats a whole separate issue.
afaik, GGG never really did promise that POE2 development would take away from POE1. in fact GGG was transparent enough to say that a lot of resources have been pulled into poe2 and that the people left on poe1 is a smaller team.
i would remind you that POE2 was meant to be an addition to POE1. any development on POE2 as it was originally imagined, would also mean development into improving POE1. that was the original intent.
i m one of the persons who HATED GGG for separating the 2 games. but after all the interviews on john explaining why it needed to happen (coz melee was just so bad), i learned to accept it and actually am happy for it.
but that said, its important to remember that there is no promise that POE2 development would not affect POE1. its just a rather unfortunate side effect from POE2 from being made separate.
had the original plan still be in place, all argument on POE2 development efforts affecting POE1 would have been negated by the fact that POE1 would upgrade into POE2. any development towards POE2 would have been development towards POE1 simultaneously.

In one of the numerous interviews it was specifically mentioned that PoE 2 would not affect PoE 1 development. I clearly remember this as do other people. That is why it is a little frustrating and saddening.

You would think this community was more mature than most but looking at replies here and on reddit we can clearly see that doesn't seem to be the case. I'm fine with the delay ill just play this new league for the box and then play one of the many dozens of games released this year till PoE 2 or 3.26.
I find the Nintendo mantra of “A delayed game is eventually good, but a rushed game is forever bad.“ to be the best approach.

Rofl. I can't believe they would only do two expansions in a year. Can't wait for PoE 2 to be out. Either if its successful or flops maybe we will get some devs back on PoE 1.

You might be missing something. The entire reason people are disappointed is that PoE 2 doesnt HAVE to be out asap at the expense of PoE 1. PoE 2 can take as long as it needs as long as PoE 1 still gets updates. Obviously, that is not the case as they are actually rushing it out by delaying PoE 1.
