WHY ARE MELEE BUILD CLUNKY TO PLAY!?

I recently started playing some melee builds and my conclusion about most melee builds is that they require pressing too many skills for it to achieve its full damage or even work.

I could just be ranting but does GGG have any plans on making melee builds to require 10 fingers to work?

They already made changes to melee by removing buff totems and adding auto exertion support. You don't have to press a lot of buttons to play melee

Well apparently he does need to press a lot of buttons, otherwise this complaint wouldn't have been made. No idea what melee is like atm since I never play it but nobody likes more than 2-button builds lol
example to this is a lacerate build and imagine playing it in HC. I would prefer totems to maim than use bladestorm supported with maim. being able to actually focus on boss mechanic than having to press more buttons can change how melee builds feel.

???

Lacerate is literally mapping with shield charge and... lacerate. Its literally 2 buttons lol.

You only curse and blade storm a boss and thats it, thats your buttons

Mash the clean
But Mash, it's more than 2 buttons! How could anyone keep up with this level of micro-management!

To compare: my league starter had me using 4 warcries every few seconds to support my ground slamming. xD

Bottom line is that you can make your build as automated or as 'clunky' as you want. It certainly isn't true for all melee builds.

As for the Maim thingy, you could always run Flesh & Stone and get your damage up that way.

@Toforto: cool cool mate let us know when you get some personal experience playing melee builds

I dont know why they are even talking about lacerate, they dont even have a lacerate character.

They have LS and power siphon....

Why are you talking about lacerate at all OP if you dont even have a build for it? You clearly dont know how many buttons it is so....

Confused why you brought that up as well as HC...

If I had to guess, they probably saw a lacerate build guide and it requires a lot of micromanagement. I wouldn't know, I didn't go looking for one.

That said, OP could try a flicker strike build. Just need 2 buttons and you're golden, provided you don't mind how much your screen is gonna be flickering.
PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds.

Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build!

MFers found strength in their Afflictions. They became reliant on them. I am not so foolish.

I really don't get this whole 2 button build thing.

Literally any build in the game can be played with 2 buttons if you don't mind not being optimal.

Absolutely no build in the game can be optimally played without using more than 2 buttons.

So just like often seems to be the case, this is an entirely self-created non issue.

The most optimal and best builds are usually the ones that use 2 or less buttons because of how strong it is with high budget that you just deleted entire maps.

RF is literally 0 button, any CWDT, DD, TS/LA high budget,...
