Coincidence?

Sooo..I had ~3 weeks with terrible loot RNG, investing around 200 divs in atlas strats without getting much in return. Forget breaking even...I was effectively losing currency by playing.

It went so far that I doubted that everything was working as intended.

Is there a bug with fulcrum/reflected burns? Was I being punished by an automated system because my account was flagged for sth?
(trading currency without getting anything like in 5 way services etc...who knows?)

I was close to leaving the game and then I decided to just write the support directly.

Not even 2 hours after I sent my eMail, a mirror dropped.
This was my first mirror ever and Im here for arround 10 years.

This cant be a coincidence, right?

What else could it be.

The human brain is the most powerful pattern matching system evolution has yet birthed. Unfortunately This has the negative expression that humans tend to see pattern where there are no patterns to find. Coincidence is a concept that most people only grasp in things not concerning themselves.

The human mind truly isn't built to understand the concept of randomness, always seeking patterns and reasons why things happen around us. :)

Right now it is impossible to lose currency on "normal" non-gambling strategies. Unless you run pilfering with a scryed nimis or MB card or run the T17 pandemonium setup, it don't see how you'd lose currency.

As the friend above says, I'm giga curious about what have you been doing that you say you lost currency investing in strats.
When investing, you always get more than the start investment, the game works in a way that the more play/invest, the more rewarding it becomes. Even in atlas 0 currency invest you get several chaos per map or another type of currency that you can convert into chaos.
The only thing I can think of is that you have a wrong/bait filter or ignore all drops and only grab MB/mirrors. Because otherwise it makes no sense.
