Need Help - Lag Spikes [MTR log]
same issue, severe lag started on 9-6-2024. Currently ongoing and yes I have Frontier.
My MTR results: https://pastebin.com/uwdVwqMr side note: not my PC as the other PC gamers in the house have same issue and same MTR results. UPDATE: 8 Sep 2024 played around with network modes: -Auto setting was the worst -Lockstep better -Predictive seemed the best (4ms standing still in hideout) However.... As soon as I opened a map the same network lag occurs with spikes from the 60's all the way up thru 2000's+. All of the spikes occurred while in a map and the character was standing still. MTRs from different instances: https://pastebin.com/uwdVwqMr https://pastebin.com/vAsRWYhi https://pastebin.com/AFrNWR92 For giggles - I tried my mobile hotspot (ATT/5g) just to see if it improved. Nope, it was worse. Experience thus far: -changing the network mode from 'auto' helps nominally for loading the game and getting to the hideout. -doesn't matter what I've attempted on "GGG's" trouble shooting thread I still get the same results. (https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3072628) -Mapping is not playable. -switching off of the FIOS to ATT(mobile/5g) no change or improvement. As of 6:53pm (PDT) 9/8/2024, the issue is still occurring, no measurable improvement with any changes I could do on my end. Last edited by GRIMNAT on Sep 8, 2024, 9:55:45 PM

Having the same issues. Started last night as well. Frontier SoCal. Don't get any latency issues when using my phone hotspot.

Also started experiencing latency issues last night making the game unplayable without VPN. I have a pending ticket open with them and will provide updates here if they are pertinent.
Results from WinMTR after roughly 400 hops: https://pastebin.com/tYDzW6MF Frontier ISP in Southern California
Same issue. Live in Southern California and have Frontier.
Here is my WinMTR log https://pastebin.com/NibeUABU
I tried out Warp by Cloudflare and it resolved the issue in case you want to play this weekend. It's like a VPN but Cloudflare chooses the location, so for most of us its in LA.

I can confirm that downloading WARP by Cloudflare is a free and viable workaround while Frontier hopefully does something on their end. Great job krispydude!

Same issue, also Frontier in So Cal. Sometimes things seem to be working with low latency, usually not.

Thanks for the WARP recommendation! I'm getting slightly higher ping than I usually get but the broken gameplay is no longer evident. Also SoCal on Frontier. Started around 10 pm last night.

I'm located in Taiwan, and krispydude's suggestion about Cloudflare WARP fixed my lag spike issues as well! Thanks so much - you da MVP!
