Many people just don't like being looked down upon. If you really want to help someone there are ways of doing that without being a condescending jerk
"Looked down upon"? Are you the best PoE player in the world? No, you're not. No one is this thread is. Is stating the fact that we all can "get better" an act of "looking down" on us? I certainly don't think so. I KNOW I can be better in all areas of PoE. Having someone telling me that in a non-condescending way is totally OK. And I think this was a non-condescending way; no name-calling, no bitching, no derogatory terms...
I am not and i don't see what it has to do with the matter.
Yes, i do think indiscriminately dismissing peoples complaints with "lol just git good" is looking down on them and people who do that are acting like "condescending jerks" in my opinion.
You are essentially saying that the complainers have no right to complain until they "git good". And that's pretty much what OPs TL:DR does.
I am also fairly sure you'd be pissed if someone did that with you.
Even if it's true that "getting good" can solve the issue the way you say it is important and let's face reality here, not all of us will ever get Ben level skills no matter how much we try. "Git good" isn't a realistic option depending on the person/context so just throwing that line out like that is even worse.
/edit and for the record before another jerk marches in and spouts nonsense, i've killed uber sirus a bunch of times and i still think it's a stupid fight despite knowing how to beat him.

We all know that some complaints are more than valid. I don't think this thread or the OP is dismissing all of them. But you also know that some complaints are a direct result of lack of knowledge and/or fueled by ignorance.
If this thread was being filled with "noob", "no-lifers" or other derogatory terms, I would agree that it's condescending. But it's not (but other people are using A LOT of them in this very thread), and I think it's more or less just telling people that even an ATTEMPT at learning the game and getting better, may actually make the game more fun for you. Because A LOT of players don't even try to seek knowledge or skill before they complain. I think that are the players OP is talking to.
Sometimes, just sometimes, you should really consider adapting to the world, instead of demanding that the world adapts to you.

Yup like all the people pre-patch saying how melee changes were going to do next to nothing, have all these power issues, and attack slow, being terrible etc.. etc..
Just gotta make sure to recognize and learn or "git gud". Those people have definitely learned a lot and git gudded I hope. Most dissapeared though.

Ofc you have every right to complain b/c of the First Amendment, at least in the U.S. that is. I don't think anybody in this post has said anything about "having the right" to complain. I wish people who're into complaining could keep doing that to their hearts' content for the rest of their lives if that's also what they want.
But you just have to accept that if some people have the right to complain about things before even at least trying to make an effort to address them, then some other people certainly have the right to make comments or at least have their own thoughts on this particular type of behavior. Nobody in this thread has called what you call "complainers" weak, lazy, trash, or anything derogatory as most of us are talking about a specific type of behavior or mindset. And the specific types of complaints from certain groups of players with specific approaches to the game that we are talking about have been made quite pretty clear throughout the thread. But you somehow just have to esclate it into name-calling people jerks, which I don't mind honestly. But even those who agree with you that the tldr doesn't look good are only talking about the tldr itself instead of anyone as a person. Also, since when do people start making judgments about a post as well as its writer from a supposedly poorly written tldr alone? Like why would a relatively long post even exist if everyone only looks at tldr... Or at least don't wear "I judge everything out of a tldr and feel pretty damn good about it" as a badge?
I also want to kindly remind you that "lol just git good" is your exact phrase, not mine. So could you please maybe try not to feed words or tones into people's mouths? Please note that it's really just a small request, just in case you feel I'm being condescending again.
/Edit
I also thought (Uber) Sirus fight was bullshit until I made an effort to learn his mechanics this league. And that's exactly the point of my post - maybe the game could become more enjoyable/less complainable once players change their mindset, hence the title "perspective shift." If you get too caught up in my tldr, maybe read the title a few more times if you really don't wanna read the post?
*Any complaints about those stupid Uber Sirus bugs like what has killed Alk twice are totally valid in my opinion, and I think players, especially hc players, should keep voicing it until they get fixed.

Thanks a lot for clearing things up! I'm not a native speaker, and you certainly summarizes it a lot better than I do.

Learning is a slow process. Many people are slow learners. Git Gud is legitimately the worst advice since it is not helpful. Mockingly, derisively used to lash out at others by self proclaimed "experts" and "elites". "Git Gud" embody the worst element of the gaming community used to make themselves feel superior.
Depending on context, it could be taken as an insult to call people stupid. They're not really your friends and doesn't care if you actually learn to play.
