Wut.

Being "a github thing" means it is open to scrutiny, and thus not likely to contain malicious code.

Being "a github thing" allows it to be forked, which is what has kept it relevant for most of its existence.

Being "a github thing" is what has allowed people to adapt its backend to also function as a website, where people can link builds as a website and have it displayed with the data as it would be available from within PoB app.

I don't remember the last time I actually went to github to update the app.. you do realise that it checks for updates every time you open the app and the entirety of keeping it up to date involves clicking "update" when it is available, right? I think I downloaded it once when it first came out, and again when I bought a new computer about 5 years ago. Since then, I've never visited github once.

If they are that scared to use git hub they probably couldn't use PoB anyway lol
