What do you hope vs expect from 3.25?

What would surprise you in a positive way that GGG could do that would be bare minimum to boost your own retention through another four month league?

Yeah, [Removed by Support]

Or, hopefully a league mechanic I can skip if I choose.

A big nerf in player power as the power creep is just crazy even for the new t17 maps.
Also Kopogero taking part of the early HC ssf ladder race hoho
Flames and madness. I'm so glad I didn't miss the fun.

Only one of these is a joke hoho
The opposite of knowledge is not illiteracy, but the illusion of knowledge.
I hope for a complete revamp of t17 maps, uber fragments dropping from the regular version of the boss and the loot tables being changed so that the regular bosses have drops worth a damn. Melee being buffed to a stage where it is workable without outrageous investment or playing builds that either take forever or explode on being touched by a white mob. Scarabs being changed to no longer occupy currency drops so that you aren't getting the vast majority of your loot taken over by scarabs that you can't even sell for anything in bulk. I would like a reversion of most of the nerfs (TS had it coming but the flask changes hit a lot of builds quite hard) that they have thrown out since 3.22 and them to actually follow through and push out the transfigured gems to bring back all the builds they deleted when they removed alt quality gems and helmet enchants.

I expect some half-assed solution to t17s, uber access and the scarab issues that sort of address the direct complaint but make the experience even worse than it was before. They've made it pretty clear that they think the issue with melee is the animation rigging rather than the numbers sucking and needing to invest an absurd amount into defenses in order to not die horribly to random white mobs. I have very little hope of them reverting the flask nerfs because GGG does not seem to understand how to put power back into builds by and large, only rip it out.

I am seeing more and more traditional paragons of good forum etiquette on here getting RBSed lately. What gives?

Please reword! (I know, irony coming from me, but go with it.)

edit: Nope, false alarm.
https://linktr.ee/wjameschan -- everything I've ever done worth talking about, and even that is debatable.

Well, no long time player hated the Necropolis mechanic more than me. But that doesn't mean that the base game is bad or that future mechanics won't be fine.

Since we don't have any power in changing GGG's actions besides a very small financial pressure if the next league sucks all we have is hope. Personally I think GGG deserves the benefit of the doubt. Look, like I said I hated Necropolis, absolutely hated it but I understood what they were trying to do.
I'm hoping for increased build diversity and a mild guillotine off the top

I'm expecting less build diversity and an increasing disparity between anything normal and a MB/adorned zzzzz template :p

Honestly if i've got some new options to play i'll be happy even if they don't turn out great. An old easy but fun league mechanic would go down wonders too, like sentinel etc.
Hope: A polished game 😇
Expect: Nothing 😝

If ggg adds turtle monsters, I will pour milk on my head and quit for 2 days but probably come back later.

GGG has already flying turtle monsters from the Eater Influence
