I have the same problem! and when I crash I have to verifying game files (on steam) for it to work again. I have crash 10 times now

Ive had at least 10 crashes while in town. It only happens in town and has never happened before 3.24.

I had this problem as well for two seasons now.
THE FIX I FOUND: In the game Options, change driver to DX12 instead of Vulkan. Detailed description of the problem: Using the Vulkan-driver, the game crashed VERY OFTEN in town. Some town instances crash everytime I enter - waiting for a while before reconnecting changes the instance and temporarily fixes it. Some instances are kinda "safe", and sometimes I can enter the town just to be disconnected shortly after. Instances that are prone to crashing SOMETIMES allow a time window in which I can change area if I'm fast enough. This only happens using Vulkan, using DirectX instead helped. My guess is that this is caused by some kind of MTX that some players use, as that would explain the areas the crashing behaviour quite well.
same here. every time i load into town there is a very good chance that the game will just exit on its own.
running on i9 with RoG Strix RTX 4080. I tried downgrading from windows 11 to 10. Installed all those visual CC+ and the game still crashes. |

Same issue, crashes almost always when loading into a town and sometimes in the menu. Have to relaunch the game 2-5 and sometimes more in order to get the town to finally load. Had no issues at all last league which was my most played league to date. Problems started when i logged in Thursday to change some keybinds and have persisted through launch.

Same, and it happens whether I'm in Vulkan or DX12
I can only load into towns about 1/10 of the time and sometimes it loads in but the ground tiles are all transparent and then it freezes a second later.
I spent the klast week playing dragons dogma 2 fine without any issues which is frankly shocking considering most people's experience. Now most of the time I port to town the game crashes, it plays fine in zones

Hi there,
I have crashes on 4090/Intel i9 14900k too atm, but I have also crashes on other games like ARK ASA and Deep Rock Galactic Survivior. There is a Problem with Intel 13900K and 14900K processors. I found a work arround for Intel Processor Instability Causing Oodle Decompression Failures. But I don't know if POE also uses Oodle Decompression. When I disable Intel Turbo Boost Technology on a Gigabyte Board, I have no Problems. I already set Packgage Power Limit1 to 125 and Packgage Power Limit2 to 253 on a 14900k an I still have chrashes. My next Step is to set down the P core multiplier. https://www.radgametools.com/oodleintel.htm 1. "SVID behavior" → "Intel fail safe" (I guess only for ASUS Boards) "Long duration power limit" → reduce to 125W if set higher ("Processor Base Power" on INTEL ARK) "Short duration power limit" → reduce to 253W if set higher (for 13900/14900 CPUs, other CPUs have other limits! "Maximum Turbo Power" on INTEL ARK) 2. "ASUS MultiCore Enhancement" → disabled (not Auto) "ASUS Performance Enhancement 3.0" → disabled 3. Turn down the maximum P core multiplier from 55X to 53X or 54X. (for example) Turn down maximum turbo boost clock rate Turn off or turn down "thermal velocity boost" |
