Dude you shouldn't be playing PoE if you have a super power like that! You can basically accomplish ANYTHING!
To acquire 19000 additional hours in the span of, at most, 4300 hours of total time while also having the game uninstalled for a large portion of that is astounding!
Your weeks/months long uninstall campaign has killed any credibility your posts ever carried with me. You proceeded to reinstall and come back during the league that literally FEATURED one of your biggest complaints with the game: unique ascendancy-only skills, lmao.
But I digress, not worth my time. Unlike you...I don't have magical time manipulation powers in this life. Only in my isekai OP form. Also, for the record, Zizaran who is arguably one of the most prolific and regular PoE streamers only has around 25000 hours. And thats with his literal livelihood dependent on playing the game as much as possible.
Path of exile did not originate and does not exclusively launch from (Steam)
Now that we've discovered the missing information lets get back to the topic thanks! If you have any more questions please directly message support you have my permission to ask for my hours!

last time i bought actual mirrors i bought i think 3 of them in the space of about 6 weeks by trading for items and fossils with chaos, crafting them in bulk, selling them and then reinvesting a small amount of that profit in more items and fossils. i was playing the game from hideout to hideout, i didnt really do anything in an actual zone that made any wealth.

If you played Path of Exile since the open beta which started January 2013 you would have played an average of 7.5 hours every single day for the past 11 years. That is a bogus number if I have ever seen one my man
I don't even know why you have to make this claim. Are you trying to state some seniority which would exert authority?
Even if we'd take you at face value and just accept the "trust me bro" statement you'd make an argument to the contrary.. playing a lot doesn't mean playing efficiently. Also: people who own a lot of mirrors don't just 'find' them, they trade for them. You'll acquire a lot more wealth playing the market than running maps.
My guess is you claimed 30k hours as a throwaway not expecting anyone to second guess it. But that's just a game theory
The opposite of knowledge is not illiteracy, but the illusion of knowledge.

Unfortunately for you this is a public forum, users can comment when and how they want so long as it does not violate any forum conduct. If you would like to specifically reply to someone about something not said here but in private messages there is a DM feature.
Misquoting someone as well as antagonizing others is probably not a good way to get anyone to take you seriously. Or have anyone on the mod team show you any kind of mercy.

The reason I brought up my experience, and the trickle-down description is because it makes your entire point of view moot and wrong.
You are clearly NOT talking about the middle tier items I am, otherwise you would recognize that an item you can get for 5 div now, might be 100 divine if we didn't have the high end crafters.
The items on the market YOU want to buy exist because there are players attempting to craft mirror items. This is FACT. We all know that items of any caliber greater than "trash" are not DROPPED but created. And the average crafter is not sitting there crafting mid-gear to sell...maybe SOME do, but certainly not enough to flood the market with powerful sub-10, 20, 50 divine crafts.
Your interpretation of mf, crafting, and "mirror-tier" is just foundationally flawed. It is easy to blame the "specter/demon known as mf" for your own shortcomings within the game. I am merely pointing out that your experience with the game is overall EASIER and available at many different paces BECAUSE of the things you hate so very very much and want to vilify.
Indeed I had a serious "shortcoming", in attempting to progress all the way into top tier items by merely playing the game more, not by flipping or watching 10+ live search browser tabs like a hawk. Then I discovered there is a treshold in self-farming. At some point, you have to get MF on your items (which may mean serious shortcoming for self-made noob build and items), to keep progressing with your loot, even if just for farming currency to buy "10, 20, 50 divine" items within a reasonable amount of time (in Standard, not in loot fountain like Affliction).
If you cannot stand delirium for its oppressing visual effects and depressing music, its even worse for you, as deli is must-have juice component.
Currently I can run all content in the game except ubers and few other bosses (Lycia and exarch with their invulnerability + damage cascade phases) effortlessly, but what's the point? Without farming strategy you maybe find 1 div every 10 maps. And farming strategies (that I know of) include either bulk selling from TFT for meager profit, or at least some investment in crafting just like you said.
"
jsuslak313 wrote:
Also, I'll let you in on a little "crafting" secret. The full-time crafters spend a LOT of time in their Hideout NOT mapping, NOT gathering currency. So how do they actually fund their crafts? By flipping every single item that doesn't turn out correctly. Whether its 1 divine, 10 divine, 50 divines, 100 divines, ANYTHING cheaper than a mirror gets put into the market and at a VERY rapid pace. It is ridiculous to think top end crafters just sit there waiting for ONLY the perfect items to sell...while relying on what? They just TRASH the multi-divine items they create?
Yes, in new league everyone has to start his wealth going from somewhere, and sell cheaper crafts too, no need to latch into words. Otherwise it is same thing I said before, no? Playing game is for noobs, smart people sit in hideout all their gaming time and flip things. This is not what I expected to do when came into poe.
i fundamentally disagree or fail to see any point/relevance in almost everything the op is saying.
that was the only thing i said that was in regards to you marshes, the rest was an ongoing discussion with the other people discussing :D
its fine btw i laughed too.

Let's change it up... Divine orbs now:
Now grab that image of player retention and place it on top of a price-over-time graph. That's not how it works, but it sure drives the point home.
Here are the paradoxes of this graph:
1. As demand decreases / inventory increases, prices INCREASE 🤪
-- Law of supply and demand says that with a decrease in demand / increase in inventory, the price should DECREASE. --
its not really a paradox because you are pricing the divine in chaos orbs which are also a supply/demand shifting asset and some of the presumptions might not actually be true.
on day one of the league most journeyman players have 2 chaos orbs on hand they have found while levelling through the campaign. on day 20 of the league the same players have 2000 chaos orbs on hand and are making + spending around 1000 chaos orbs per day consistently. you cant price a divine at 250c on day 1 of a league because virtually no one has 250c, day 20 of the league most journeyman endgame farmers will have made 250c from trades in the last 2 hours. youre looking at the supply/demand of the divine but you should be looking at the supply/demand of the chaos orb youre using to price it in.
you also presume the demand decreases as the player base decreases, but is that accurate? on day 1 a gg item might be worth 3 divines because virtually no one has more than that on hand, even at 3 someone might have to borrow 1 from a guildy to make that early purchase.
day 20 of the league gg items for the same guy are worth 300 divines. so there is 100x more demand for divines coming from that 1 player.
people intentionally league start with a build they can gear virtually self found with maybe a couple of chaos on some common uniques or a resist ring to balance themselves in maps. week 2 and 3 these people are then rerolling into strong endgame builds that require many divines to gear.
youre presuming demand decreases but theres good reason to propose it might actually be increasing over the first month.
player retention stats can also be misleading. if you, echo and myself all play the league chances are on the opening weekend we all start day 1 minute 1 of the league, we also then all play on day 2 and 3. but as the weeks go on maybe only you play on a monday, i play on tuesday and thursday, echo plays on the weekend friday and saturday you play on sunday. now those graphs will tell you 3 players were playing on the opening day and now only 1 player is playing. but thats not actually true 3 players are playing the game the whole time, we just dont play at the same time the way we did on the opening weekend.
leagues dont really lose their playerbase in the way people studying concurrency graphs often think when looking at those curves.
