GGG must address TFT
I think GGG are very wise to stay away from the drama, and attempts to bring them into it, even if it means overlooking ToS baits.
Hopefully we can expect to see more bulk sale improvements and itemisation of services over a few patches. If many services are itemised, maybe people don't need vouches. I've had more fun with the game since I stopped even considering TFT as an option. Though I'm astronomically below the level of mirror tier gear. Scour tier maybe. |

I'm seeing a lot of 'well, I'm not affected by it so it's fine'.
It's not fine. There is a lack of sufficient infrastructure in PoE to facilitate trade/services. That gap has been filled by a few members in the community who have privatized it. I don't want a game where players can usurp a core function of the game away from the developers and wield it for their own profit (either virtual or real money)--Especially when that community conducts their control over that function of the game with their own 'Terms of Service'. What's worse is there are many examples where these individuals have acted in bad faith. There's no recourse for anyone who is negatively affected by these people, so I can absolutely see a need for GGG to provide an official service and cut this 3rd party out of their monopoly. This won't get rid of RMT or even TFT but players who don't want to enable or facilitate RMTers and want conflict resolution under GGG's ToS should have that service provided by GGG. Outrage blew up surrounding TFT around this time last year. It's happening again now--It will likely continue into the future. This isn't a problem that will go away on its own. In fact, it seems to get worse each time it flares up. |

No matter what you may think or what you are told by loud yelling voices on youtube, reddit, twitch, or whatever....there is NO third party software or community that is required to play and enjoy this game, and even excel at this game. It just plain isn't necessary. I'm living proof, and I'm sure there are MANY others. I've met a few who say the same in multiple TFT threads. " This thread is about tft, no? Obv i use filterblade. I even donated the guy who developes it money on stream last league start. Two different worlds. A cool software dude on one side and predatory scum on the other... |

which is just a complete nonsense. you then said " he literally thinks no third party software like POB is required, no other sites,etc.. when those sites like poeninja, poe.trade helped with trading and other stuff.. when poe didn't even have properly trading on the site we had to use the forum or in-game... he just doesn't know what he is talking about. I just thought they are exaggerating a little but mostly addresing the ppls that moan on the forum about how the game is allegedly unplayable without tft...
Wouldn't wanne miss out on filterblade. I use pob but i can totally see how you don't need that(no min maxing then of course, 7/7 ubers unlikely, but who does 7/7 ubers anyway^^) You can make your own builds by following the structure of tags in the game easily without any guides if you have experience to some degree, but it's probably only enough for 8/8 non uber that way^^ poe ninja is 100% optional, dunno why i would use that to gain an advatage, advantage is kind abitrary in this game anyway(if this is the right word for it)...who cares except for a handful of people that actually win races.. For me, cant say i really care about costs of mirrors in dollars, its not like you need mirrors to destroy content anyway. Mirrors covers only a part of the game for people who play it like a job and still enjoy even when theres pretty much nowhere else to go because you reached the final point of progression
For me, the problem with tft is the fact their very existence is reflective of the most moronic point of that ancient trade manifesto: Gating a central mechanic(trading) behind obnoxious steps so the power of said mechanic is limited by the sheer fact people will use it as little as possible because using it is so obnoxious is retarded design, might make sense for detering serious stuff on the real world, but its another instance where GGG seems to forget they are in the head of a freaking VIDEOGAME TFT exists because how archaic the trade system is and people only flock to it to bypass dumb restrictions, its very existence and sucess is direct consequence of this philosophy of "lets keep it, but make it so arduous that people wont use it". GGG does not(and can not) adress or intervene with TFT directly, but it ABSOLUTELY need to adress the points behind its existence Well, that and the existence of mirrors as they are. Being able to copy an item an endless amount of times is dumb, would be interesting to make mirrors make both items mirrored, that would shake the market in interesting ways |

" I 100% agree. Although not exactly like that, otherwise that might become as simple as splitting an item. and bricking it. Also, Mirror of Kalandra is THE pinnacle chase item, so that would be a massive nerf. So IMO GGG must balance the behaviour of the mirror in some other way to prevent abuse as you mentioned. Something like to increase drop rates of crafting currencies, or make crafting a bit more determinable, not like how we have it now. Ghazzy asked devs in an interview, paraphrasing, to make higher level items (eg ilvl>84) to roll favourable higher tier mods. It's just plain dumb design to roll a chaos orb on a rare item and get a T9 mod on an ilvl86 item. Higher-level items add new mods to the poon at the same time significantly reducing the probability of rolling it (increased total weight). One more vapid design is the fact that you have to spam currencies for some crafts. like who wants to click the mouse like 1000 times to hit the mod combination you need? and lol you have to look up poedb to even know what mods will roll/block on that base with that influence, item level, etc. PoE is otherwise a very enjoyable game, but I might jump on the Last Epoch train as it seems to offer many QoL features (although not depth as I am aware, might change over time) At the end of the day, it comes down to whether am I having fun. player agency, where?
