Do you like this Affliction league? Or Tota was better league than that? Your thoughts.
yeah I also wish the garden entrance was at the END, not at the entrance, so I don't have to fuck up my whole map for no reason.
sure, the loot gets better, but at what cost? It takes like 2-3x longer to kill some double/triple empowered rares, and they become much more deadly. and I can't even leave the garden whenever I want. it feels stupid running around like a chicken trying to force a portal solutions, - add a "finish encounter" button to the underground garden, like delirium, which will directly take us back to the map - add a metamorph-like spawn button that appears at the lower section of the UI after the map boss is killed, which will allow us to spawn the garden entrance at will, or alternatively, just allow us to be teleported into the garden at will with a button or something, for only once per map idk why every single league we get lacks so many QoL features, it's as if they weren't tested by any actual gamer Last edited by auspexa on Dec 19, 2023, 11:44:27 AM

Doubt they thought that people will actually do the mechanic after they cleared map, not before. Like usual, GGG didnt think how trade will affect how people view the league. Because you can get a lot of money by just getting things from vendor, some people view it as "main thing" from the league, instead the wisp part.

Pros vs Tota
Better game flow Actually relevant for builds Quite rewarding Reasonable power creep if boring Not a retirement home façade on an auto battler Visually attractive S tier Spectre mechanics Cons vs Tota Poorly balanced in a way that matters (content specific) Poorly balanced in a way that matters (in maps too) Power creep boring compared to tattoo creativity Pseudo Ascendancies seem poorly balanced when compared outside of very specific interactions. All up i'm pretty happy with it, my only beef is with their constant obsession with badly tuned content as some kind of gotcha mechanic. Offscreen DD on a harvest bear that dropped effectively nothing is extremely frustrating when playing HC without just abandoning the mechanic completely. Content was challenging enough without. |

" the wisp part isn't even worth it unless you have an immmortal 200m dps build or you're doing group play though. my build is pretty tanky and I still get clapped by empowered four mod rare maraketh archers, the shit is busted up the wazoo why would I make everything 3x harder only to get like 50% more loot? I could be doing another map in the meantime instead of fighting the damn rares
To be honest, if we players just want to skip the mechanic is just a fail on design, and that's something GGG should face.
GGG should tweak the numbers or do something to fix it. It looks amazing but feels horrible on practice
" Nah. My current Hexblaster doesnt have that much DMG and I can easily go full ham on wisps even in T16 maps and not notice that sudenly enemies are omega tanky and take few minutes to kill. I also very rarely die (but Im not doing Legion, never liked it). Sure, mechanic requires some decent gear but its not as bad as people make it. Last edited by Aynix on Dec 19, 2023, 1:56:57 PM

I think the league is packed with fun, but the game itself has devolved into needing a pile of unique items for both damage and defense and they just keep introducing even more tanky mobs to compensate.

TOTA 100% because wasn't that poorly performance than currenct.
Like idc about loot if there's in every map like 2 big freeze that last 20s Venezuela es mi barrio, y odio mi barrio.

" You're right but if you're really in it for the money then you'd play the trade simulator and avoid the game altogether. I know it's a blasphemy here but I'm having a real blast playing d4 right now because don't need to worry about value of items and I can just blast away at those high nightmare bosses. Another game I'd like to mention is Guild Wars 2, which is a unique MMO because end-game goal is not acquisition of items (everybody can acquire end-game gear easily) but to look good and win Fashion Wars. Or just go PVP (my preferred game mode) because all players have a level playing field (gear doesn't matter in PVP).
" As a experienced flipper I agree with this. Every league at some point I just flip for few days and then I dont worry about money for entire league. Flipping is easily the best money/h you can get, even best "currency strats" dont come close to it. However after few days your brain turns into mush, so I dont recommend doing it for long. |
