Why do POE players always feel the need to hate on every league ?

You talk about Delitium. isnt Affliction kinda like mix of Delirium and Sentinel, except its not timed so you are not rushed (which was worst part of that league). Delirium was buffng every monster in the map, Affliction is buffing big chunk of them.
Maybe because ggg overpromises and delivers virtually nothing. Breaks the game, the servers, destroys standard builds, reduces everyone's favorite build by like 30% damage every patch but if you grind 39+ hours you can get it back. Also all of the nerfs tend to be on low investment builds instead of the rmt mirror crowd doing 40 billion dps.

Every 3 months. Like clockwork.

Delirium didnt require you to do a side area in the dark. It was simply in the normal map. Its not a surprise a lot of the most popular leagues are the ones that doesnt require you to go out of your way to participate.

Sentinel was a hated league, and a bad one.

The side area isnt even fun. Not many people enjoy directionless, dark gameplay, on top of annoying RNG to boot. Its just the worst kind of side area mechanic.

The side area is just needlessly annoying. Thats the main issue. Maybe they somehow make it better in a week or 2 when they patch it, but its core design philosophy is just bad. Yea buffing the mobs is nice, but running around blind, trying to collect orbs, praying you run into something worthwhile isnt.

Affliction has needlessly annoying steps.

I've read countless forum posts about x / y league being bad / broken / OP / not fun / too hard etc.(including past leagues)

But for real now the game has so much to offer and you are hating on 1 thing out of 100 to do.

Just find the way you like to play the game even if this means skipping the league mechanic.(I didn't like TOTA for example so I just played it for a few hours and went back to my playstyle).

Not every league is made for every player so deal with it. Also your vision != GGG's vision by any means. If you want a game made just for you go make your own if you have what it takes. (BTW this is a free game as well if you forgot)

I wish I had the time to play as much as most of you and enjoy everything that POE has to offer (besides the usual performance problems).

Because GGG keeps making mechanics that only reward the top end or are only doable by giga builds. This kills build diversity and makes a large portion of the player base upset they can't get to the same reward levels in their limited playtime (not total, per hour). Couple that with the basic currency drop nerf in Sentinel and the nerfed alters and the casual audience has nothing to do if they can't spend a couple of hours a week dedicated to just buying juice for their maps. Except brain brain-dead stuff like low-tier map essence farming.
That's a bit of a generalization, I loved heist and was fairly content with ritual. I certainly complained about LoK and have been complaining moderately about this league. In this case, I think it is comically rippy without much provocation and a bit flat and the game seems to keep shoving itself into a tighter and tighter meta, but my expectations were lower this time.

But more fundamentally, people usually come to forums to complain. I certainly didn't come here the other day when I had a divine drop in expedition, it made me want to play more. Whereas, when I get one-shot by something seemingly invisible on a not very juiced white map or whatever, I feel like sharing my discontent with GGG. Despite having almost immediately bought one of the overpriced packs. What can you do?

Wish I could up vote this.
Is this really a hard concept? Did you guys not figure out subjectivity around the age of 8 to 13 like everyone else?

Let me try to put this into perspective imagine ggg a serving food at a table for 300,000 and every meal has something someone at the table really dislikes.

I REALLY didnt like GGG's Sanctum sprouts. Arpgs are supposed to have full seasoning and Sanctum sprouts completely omitted all my favorite seasoning. So I hated it vocally.

Crucible steaks were fuckin banger though even though they were too chewy for the fast foodie's which I get.
"only 10% of players care about melee" - Aesop's Fox if he was a GGG dev
"when you die in this game, typically you're getting one shot, you're dieing in one frame; almost always" -Ben_

The thing is, there is direction. You follow wisps. The side zone is literally "follow the line". In every single zoe you always have wisps either visible right from the start or visible like 1 step away from the start. If you dont see wisps from the start, go around your starting "bubble", making it little bigger - I assure you, you will find "line" of wisps to follow 100% times.
Possibly because they overhype and then turn around and deliver an over tuned unplayable mess. It's to be expected if you have played the game for a while but it is still a bit hard for gamers not to get a bit salty when they get off screened while picking up a transmute.
