Tell me why do i keep playing this game
75% is the first layer, you need a second layer now.
spell suppress, or max res or whatever. easiest would be spell suppress. everybody and his mom uses that now. and there are form of regen now that are ridiculous. like bloodnotch, tainted pact. just found an amulet that heals you for 30% of your missing unreserved life before any hit !! so since they introduced crazy tools to regen, they have to introduce ridiculous dangerous stuff. like cannot leech on rare. oh we just deactivated completely all your regen so funny. you re dead. overwhelm mods. not sure about ele penetration but the fire head in ultimatum sure look like it does sth like ele pen, not 100% sure yet. or extreme spell damage to combat our spell suppress. as for the league, yep, it s bit like going straight for essence beast when you enter maps. wont go well. | |
PoE is a big slot machine.
That's not for loot only, it's for mob modifiers too. Rolling crits and the wisp empowering mechanic is on top. Last years when I died by 1-2 hits and come back the "dangerous" mobs do nothing notable to me and I was wondering what had happend. Exceptions to that were some map bosses (2-4x bosses, special attacks/hits which could not be avoided or mitigated) or rare mobs with many stacked buffs. There is no combat or even death log. Maybe this has technical reasons too, PoE does (too?) many calculations even without that. But I think another reason is: We players could see the ridiculous imbalanced damage hitting us sometimes. There are/were bugs which exited over years and nobody could saw them. Like items or skills not working at all. This shows how complex and hidden PoE game mechanic is. 100% Spell Suppresion is pretty much must-have since it was introdcued to the game. It makes HUGE diffrence. Pretty much every one shot you experience is either spell or very big phys hit. For phys hits you have granite flask and determination, but for spell your only defense is spell suppresion.
