So has the Dev team given up? Just gonna make us suffer with these ArchNem 2.0 Mobs?

Fact is, this league is just like sentinel, only you can't decide if you want to empower or not. The wood itself is actually fun, the map mechanic? not so much.

And like in EVERY League, we will see slight nerfs to that empowerment and to mobs inside.

You cant decide? No one forced you to go inside affliction zone and empower enemies.

They already nerfed league twice. Doubt it will be nerfed again just so reddit/forum carebears can have good time.

Do learn to read. In sentinel empowering something was a targetable choice, here it is random. What is so hard to understand? and it will be nerfed again, you will see, i don't care either way

You said "If you want to empower or not" not "what I want to empower". Learn to properly structure your sentences instead complaining that people dont understand wtf you want to say.

The problem is not empowerment itself, its randomness of it. I would gladly buff map boss or even Syndicate members, even 2 essence beast would be fine. But this shit can brick my 5 essence mob or harvest Boss or make me lose blight. I have no say in that mater. That is what suck. I like the woods, hate the buff after.

Its pretty much old Archnemesis, but at least not on EVERY rare, only some of them.
It bricks multiple league mehcanics just like AN did before it was nerfed 20 times.
But hey, at least unlike AN it wont brick blighted maps, delve Heist, Sanctum etc.
The league had good idea but bad implementation, like usual. Unlike you are super juicing your maps, you wont get much from empowering monsters so honestly the best thing currently is to run maps that is big loop (Mesa, Racecourse etc) and do wildwood after you clear entire map to snag some good things from vendors.

You forgot about whinners who are so bad at the game that they need it to be nerfed to Diablo 4 level of "difficulty". Then we have full circle.

The fact that AN was bad doesnt excuse the fact that it this one is also bad. The solution would be so easy, just let me chose when to buff the mobs or exclude other mechanics from it. Why does it even buff the mobs that dont yet exist like in blight or ultimatum?

Its good that it works for mechanics "not yet spawned". Whats stupid that it also works on Ultimatum which drop no loot. Which means you get huge difficulty spike for no reward at all.
I find rares to be too powerful sometimes. Sure, make them rippy with dodgeable mechanics but dont make them take forever to down. Its just boring and adds nothing to the gameplay. I already ignore the most powerful rares because they take more time than its worth. Also managed to find rares that are literally impossible to kill. Unique monsters and bosses are way better balanced.

Similar to endless power creep and damage scaling, having no limits hurts the game in the long run. Hopefully they have different design plans for poe 2.
I'm enjoying the mechanic a lot. Mapping is my favorite thing to do, and this makes it much more fun, as far as my personal tastes are concerned.

To echo some previous comments, it would be nice though to have an option be able to leave the forest when we've reached our desired level of juice. It would make the mechanic much less frustrating for some, and lean more into a risk vs reward scenario.

Because they are not affected by the worst mechanic that was ever added to PoE - Archnemesis mods.
