If you don't like the meta, don't play it. Not like anyone forces you to play RF except your own inability. What other people play should be of no concern to you.

That people will ingore and still play TS/LA because they didnt nerf those enough (only change to Heatshiver).

jesus let ppl play what they want to play. we have plenty of builds that do more dps and a faster then TS but ppl dont play this builds because they dont like play style. same reason plenty of ppl dont play TS since they dont like that play style. and meta always switches with new good skills. since you played since old days you should know that

List me those "plenty builds that are faster than TS". Im curious. Meta changes but top skills stay the say. We have TS meta for like 5 years now (or longer tbh)

Thats the most stupid thing one can say. If everyone would go by this logic then devs would never bother balancing their game.

Quite the opposite really. It's stupid to kill things that people enjoy doing. If GGG actually cared about people playing their game they should aim to put more things into the game that people like instead of removing them all the time. If something is way too powerful compared to other options then a nerf is fine but butchering skills just because they are popular even when they are essentially zdps skills to begin with is just plain dumb. If they want to make a meta shift, how about improving one of the 200 trash tier skills for a change instead of slaughtering the 20 skills that are usable.

You clearly never dived deep into online games and menatlity of players. It was proven multiple times that "balancing" amd making everything equal doesnt work. Its good way to kill the game because people will get bored. You NEED to FORCE people to change. Thats why sucessful games nowadays use "meta shake" strat instead balancing things out. League of Legends started using it long time ago and thats when it started to be one of the most popular game in the world. (just an example, there is plenty of other games who do that)
And yet SC BW was/is considered the most balanced RTS game of all times on a competitive level despite zero balance changes from blizzard over decades. It was actually the players doing the meta shakeups by discovering new strategies.

Obviously perfect equality isn't possible but we are talking about factor 1000+ in terms of efficiency in this game. Saying there is room for improvement is an understatement. The meta wouldn't be this stale if the gaps weren't that huge with the game being incredibly punishing at the same time.
RTS are in completly diffrent group. What works in one, wont work in another.

Meta is so stale for one reason. GGG doesnt have balls to go harder on nerfs to popular skills like TS/LA.

I'm amazed dd remains untouched. I wonder if the number of buttons required to play the build is a significant metric in the to-be-nerfed list.

DD requires 2 more buttons than RF so its safe.
The less input the build needs the more likely it is to get nerfed because those builds are most popular and thats the metric on which GGG nerfs skills. The same was with cyclone, brands, cold dot etc.

The most busted build i have ever played is Zerphi's Last Breath, and i knew how broken is resistance stacking (and damage taken as) before the hard 90% cap

But RF is not that level of change

Not even close to we use to have monster level 83 spectre
