and 21/20 transfigured gems will always be valuable

Not gonna die. "Easy uber Boss Killer", "One shot Ubers", "Most broken build i ever palyed" build guides will grow like fungus on social media and the playerbase will be in constant demand of new fancy gems and will need to corrupt these and so on.
This league will be a massive success for GGG and the Lab will live on in this league.
Of course the majority of the players will only play the first 2 weeks or so, that won't change. It's always gonna be like that.

IDK, I play HC and price spiked up to 16d at some point but eventually lowered to 11-13d for the gem. But buying the div card with price fixing you could aquire it for 7-9-ish divines. IMO it's acceptable for such powerful support gem.

Yes, it matters. The gem is very powerful, especially in setups where all gems gain level(s) from the gear. It should not be cheap.

I'd say making the powerful items like this gem cheaper causes "power inflation".

price depends partly on how rare it is. and with new lab its rarity drops. depending how hard ppl will farm lab. empower/enlighten lvl 3 gem prices will drop maybe/probably.
