Feels a bit tone deaf
this might be the best overall game update in the history of the game and somehow people still find a way to complain
there is going to be SO MUCH op stuff this league so many builds so much cool shit to discover this league is the most hyped ive been for this game since.... ever? some people just need to maybe give up and stick to d4 where they belong i guess (سಥ益ಥ)س (سಥ益ಥ)س (سಥ益ಥ)س (سಥ益ಥ)س (سಥ益ಥ)س (سಥ益ಥ)س (سಥ益ಥ)س

It honestly all depends on what all these niche's are. We don't know have that info yet. So GGG may be right in that tons of new options will present itself in the melee archetype. But they don't have a great track record with melee so it's hard to trust it.
I only speak on behalf of melee stuff but boneshatter is a basic skill. It's a default attack on an enemy. But it has the numbers to back it up and that's why it is played. This is why people have been asking for ages for GGG to just do a balance pass on the speed and damage of most melee skills. Spells got this awhile back and look how varied spells can be with how much damage they scale up to. Personally I am ready to give this a chance, I'll reserve my judgement for later. |

" Reddit and forum community. Morevoer not everyone. It's about of 10% of playerbase. Melee skills are in good state IMO, pretty damaging. Molten Strike for example allows to build balanced characters capable to do ubers on HC due its good scalling mechanics. Boneshatter, Glacial Hammer, Flicker, Heavy Strike are very good. " says who? almost all endgame builds are nerfed in 3.23. no more boots, belts, helmet enchant and no more alt qualities. so instead of all the enchants and alt qualities, we just get transfigured gems that do different stuff, but that different stuff will seldom be as powerful as the combination of three enchants (gloves were useless anyway) and the alt qual scaling we have at the moment. and a lot of builds that relied on alt quality gems are either pretty much dead or significantly weaker now, such as dark pact necromancer. yeah we haven't seen the transfigured dark pact yet, but it's probably going to do something like changing the type of minion you use, or change its behavior and make it like a chaos based arc instead of a nova, and surely won't provide the original effect of divergent dark pact, which was pretty much mandatory to play that build. I could list like a hundred builds that got gutted by these changes. sure, there'll be new, very strong builds, and the new ascendancies introduce a significant power creep into the game, but it's not like "there is going to be so much op stuff", it's merely a metashift were a hundred of builds are killed, and a new hundred of builds are enabled. and I don't think these builds will be op by any means, compared to the old endgame builds we had. honestly, my main complaint about these changes is that some of the gem quality changes appear to be arbitrary. it's like the people who made the changes have never played those builds and put no thought into them. ggg should really start hiring some folks who're actively playing the game Last edited by auspexa on Dec 2, 2023, 4:50:07 AM

" can you list this killed builds ?? RF dont count :D and without info on what alt gems we get you still cant tell if build is rip or not. but if top end build lost 10% or 20% dps its rly not big deal. when this builds do 1b dps
" transfigured gems will provide alternative, completely different ways to play the builds, they won't make the skill "stronger" by any means, they'll just change the playstyle as shown by falling zombies and smite AG. and most "normal" builds have like 30-50 mil dps with typical endgame gear, I don't know where this "1 bil dps" argument is coming from. when a build such as toxic rain, bane or explosive concoction loses 20% dps, it's a big deal because it's already suffering from not having enough dps. it's not only about dps anyway. divergent dark pact, for example, doesn't provide any dps on paper, instead it makes the build playable because your skeletons will die too fast without it, causing the build to feel extremely clunky and it becomes much harder to keep AG and other minions alive. now it's gone forever, though the new base quality gives significantly more dps, the build will feel awful to play. as a disclaimer, I don't really care about builds dying or becoming more powerful. I've never played the same build twice and I don't plan to. what I care about is this apparent incompetence of GGG in terms of balance and game design. " I'm not complaining, I'm only stating the obvious truth. I couldn't care less about any build dying or getting nerfed, because as I mentioned I never play the same build twice.
" This! It literally shows the understanding of things. Commandment of Spite was good because of Chilling Ground and Commandment of Light because of Consecrated Ground Commandment of Spite: " Commandment of Light: " But sure, you don't care because you're playing SC? |

" I said they are useless because we were talking about dps, incase you missed that part. And yes, glove enchants are significantly weaker compared to the other three. The funny thing is you didn't even check whether I have, or need glove enchants on my builds. I have it on my pf, and don't use it on my necro because it already has permanent consecrated ground with skitterbots. Look guys, a hardcore player. See, nobody cares. Your elementalist isn't even properly min-maxed by the way. Last edited by auspexa on Dec 2, 2023, 5:21:15 AM
