You know what ARPG players like?

Look at the MOST expensive items in POE

#1 - MageBlood

Less clicking, consistent speed, consistent power


#2 - Headhunter

Ramping speed, lots of defensive and offensive power

So where are these items mostly used? For speedy mapping

What about BOSSING in POE

Usually done by a few types of builds, but in SC the main strategy is GIGA damage

In HC the main strategy is GIGA tank, because its HC and they can't die or they lose their character

But how many people LIKE bossing? Not many

People do it for the special loot and boss drops

ARPGs are not fun because you run around an arena and dodge skill shots while using slow abilities to hit the boss for 1% of their hp

ARPGs are fun when you get to blow up thousands of MOBS and feel like you are taking on literal HORDES of mobs

That's why POE has become successful, is that it embraces the idea of speed and people LOVE pack size

But since the giga nerfs of Expedition, the game devs have been killing their game

Every league has had such terrible retention, up until now in Ancestor league.

Where GGG gave players a TRUCK load of power from tattoos

If GGG wants to make people happy, they should make maps larger, more packs, more mobs, more density, and less loading between zones and having to "set up the map"

They should introduce trade improvements and qol changes

They should look to improve FPS and remove the patch that dropped everyones performance and increased PC usage

Instead, they have had 2 years of lack luster releases so that they could make a slow slog d4/elden ring clone

i dunno it looks great in graphics, but it looks way to similar to Diablo 4, to fucking slow. And we all know how boring Diablo 4 is and where it ended.

Maybe at this point GGG wants the Elden Ring players instead of the current PoE players. I know I would if I was a dev - not only it's a much larger playerbase, it's also a much less insufferably entitled one.
hope in the poe 2 u make a better bestiary interface i am farming here with double beast sextant full with useless red beasts and need remove 1 by 1
just add a button to release all of the same type for god sake (or allow select more than 1)

They can go ahead and name this Path of Elden Ring. I suppose some people like this and other's don't. For me the idea of having to fight 100+ of those isn't that appealing. We'll see...

Personally I'm VERY happy that they're keeping PoE 1 alive. I hope they truly plan to devote enough resources to it and not just keep it barely updated.

Splitting the game in 2 games is bad. Look at runescape.
