You right. To me graphics personally don't matter too much, and PoE's graphics is definitely not terrible - at least for me.
Also 2013 game vs 2023 game. My only complaint though is that a 2013 game with old graphics has worse performance than a 2023 game with better graphics. |

GGG is owned by Chinese Tencent.
Tencent is multi billion dollar GGG sacrificed their entire reputation when they allowed themselves to be acquired by Tencent. Blizzard forums keep laughing at GGG calling them Chinese P2W Therefore any excuse for using these old garbage character models and animation still is a slap in the face. End of story. I am lvl 94 on last epoch and i will never play poe again most likely, the end game in LE is already more fun than poe.

The Blizz forum claims that DI was made by a company called NetEASE and that Blizzard holds no responsibility. I have tried to defend POE on the Blizz forum but sadly I get beaten when they pull out the "GGG owned by Chinese Tencent" "POE stash tabs Pay to win" "POE ugly character animation that runs like a bad 2D sprite from 1992" POE Pay to Win Chinese Tencent with animations and character model like a bad 2D game. I don't have any real argument until GGG releases POE 2 which seems like never. They had better NOT disappoint with the new character models and animations with all that billions of Tencent chinese money that they sold their soul for. It's funny...PoE stash tabs are certainly P2W: but that completely ignores the fact that PoE is free while D4 costs $60 + any future costs with DLC. You can spend far less than that in PoE and survive forever.
I also don't understand the people that put graphics on such a high pedestal. The f do I care about the graphics? 16bit graphic games can be incredible, and beautiful 4k graphics games can be terrible. As the old saying goes: "don't judge a book by its cover". |
