Can I delete / completely remove my path of exile account?

I will have to delete my account as my reason is i played in 2027 on an entirely different email password that i made for poe 1. 7 years later bought poe 2 and GGG out my purchase under my 7 year old account that i haven’t use since then. Now my new purchases are listed under that account and i can’t use trade site or have access to the new account i made with a different email and username. Why would this be done? It causes lots of problems for GGG and users. I have sent multiple support emails with no response yet and more than likely will not be able to continue to play as everything is mismatched now and errors when try to use trading site.

I'm in the same boat. This old POE account is preventing me from linking my new one with steam, and I cannot unlink steam from this old POE account. Please delete this account. Thank

Yeah, initial "login" needs some work. It isn't very intuitive.

Nothing obvious was said about using existing accounts. It wanted to force login to steam which created a whole new account since the old account wasn't already tied to steam.

Like others, I now have two separate accounts, but would prefer to have them combined / only have 1 account.

I wanted to change my e-mail because I lost access to the mail, since it got hacked years ago and I deleted it.

Now I always have a risk warning on this website, can't change my mail on my own, can't chat in-game cuz I need to verify it, can't get twitch drops and certainly won't play PoE 2 with this shit.

And the best thing is I can't even delete the account on my own and sometimes I have to wait WEEKS before I get an answer which sounds like "do you have more proof?" "yes we will help you, do you bought something?"

Like I sent steam info, twitch etc. etc.

Yes, Diablo is worse but at least I CAN manage my account

I am having the same issue of my Steam and PoE accounts are on the same email but with 2 different account names and it will not let me add item filters to my steam account. Please delete this PoE account so I can link my PoE and Steam accounts. I have also sent an email to support@grindinggear.com
