Torchlight infinite is a POE clone but heres things it did differently that i liked
So now every ARPG is "PoE clone"?

" i probably didnt emphasize this enough but their skill system is more or less the same as poe. major auras, 50% mana reserved, minor auras 25-35% skill modifiers? they got that too, with mana multipliers, etc you get to have "6L" skills too the difference is you dont exactly socket the gems into equipments, directly socketing them into allocated active/auras/passive slots. i've played many arpgs, and poe's skill system is very distinct. " tl3 in my humble opinion had potential but ultimately failed. and yeah shame runic is gone. " true... then again poe is a giant. 10 years + in the making and its still not done. that said, one thing that TL:I did impress me is build variety. it really offers a lot as it's core heavily comes from poe [Removed by Support] Last edited by exsea#1724 on Jun 1, 2022, 5:27:16 AM

"The developer of TL:I is a Chinese studio, and Tencent is also involved to some degree. So yeah, it turned out about the way one would expect from that heh. I have a pretty good sense of humor. I'm not German.

Torchlight 3 quality is so low, hard to overlook that for the franchise.
But very nice summary. |

It's sad how everyone here is commenting "diablo immortal clone' or 'pay to win' or 'it's only mobile' without actually checking any of the facts by PLAYING THE GAME. I personally haven't seen anything wrong with the game other than it being fun cos it has a lot of PoE in it. Stuff like the pact system (no you cannot pay for power on it, you have to grind for it) on that game that augments your gameplay can be acquired by just playing the game.
I got to level 95 on two classes without spending a single dime on the game. There is no gating for any content based on currency or power you have to buy, like in Diablo Immortal. Lol, the best thing I liked about it was that you can literally pick up any loot from anywhere on the screen without literally having to stand on the said loot. And the 6-link system on it is very refreshing. I am happy to have another game to play besides PoE that I enjoy just as much as PoE. Plus it was easy to understand cos the mechanics/interactions/mods/affixes are VERY much like PoE. Just that it is more accessible to a lot of people and has a low requirement for entry for an ARPG. And yeah, it's still in beta and THERE IS A PC version! Pretty sure they will polish it further as time goes on to be more for PC. Even still, the game looks lovely. Also, GGG can learn a lot from the QoL in the game. Just my two cents on the game. P.S. Stay away from that game called Undecember lol Last edited by ZylrX#5477 on Oct 15, 2022, 7:37:05 PM

How bad is the P2W?
|

" Not bad at all. I'm level 75 and haven't felt the need to spend any money. The shop button is actually buried in the menu and there are no paywalls. I bought the season pass because I'm having FUN. It is nice to be excited about loot drops now. I'm following Palsteron right now for more info. https://www.twitch.tv/palsteron 8 mod maps are the new alch and go. Also, I like the auction house and target dummy robot in camp. The death recap is nice too.
