Q1 of 2024.
I would assume beta in later half of 2023. Probably 6 months worth would be my guess. "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt."

The last two years have taught me that plans change.

We got a pretty decent chunk of information and a new trailer during the live stream for Ultimatum league (8th of April, I think). No dates, no hints towards release, so everyone talking about dates in this thread, is just guessing. We also got a news post a few weeks ago, that told us we'll know more during 2022.
Sometimes, just sometimes, you should really consider adapting to the world, instead of demanding that the world adapts to you.

Since POE 2 is mainly a new campaign + ascendancies and anything else will be part of the base game in patch 4.0 or before i could see a scenario where they drip feed release new acts one by one starting with 3 acts.
I can see a premature POE2 release with new gem link system when big competition is on the horizon or when player numbers dip down below a threshold which triple G sees critical. Would be similar like the 2.0 beta where they released zones up to Kaom & Daresso and Belly of Beast later. Masterpiece of 3.16 lore "A mysterious figure appears out of nowhere, trying to escape from something you can't see. She hands you a rusty-looking device called the Blood Crucible and urges you to implant it into your body." Only usable with Ethanol Flasks Last edited by gandhar0#5532 on Jan 22, 2022, 2:29:02 PM

At this point they're just probably stalling depending on when Diablo 4 comes out, no way they won't interact with that.

considering how divergent the gameplay was from regular PoE, lots of toggles/ reactive skills/ combo moves etc, I think GGG got lost in translation a bit here or there. It really did not looked like PoE wich is good and bad at the same time, huge risks.
Also GPU, most gamers are on dying configurations rn. My 2080TI is holding strong but if it fries it's over for few monthes at least, PoE2 is likely more demanding than PoE and not many players will be able to interact with it. Last edited by galuf#4435 on Jan 22, 2022, 3:39:47 PM

I know it's a controversial topic but I think it's okay to say "Covid" is a likely reason for what will be a major delay in an era full of cancellations and major delays. It is...unrealistic to consider projection dates made pre-Covid to remain accurate...not that projection dates are accurate to begin with.
But good on you for the enthusiasm and eagerness to help them beta test what will probably very much need it. Very generous of you. And since I am a betting man, lets say mid 2023 for first playable version. They might hold it off to 'compete' with Microsoft's incoming ARPG but last I checked TencentGGG only hold off releases to NOT compete with other games. They will release 4.0 when they have to, since "when it's ready" hasn't applied to their releases for quite some time. This is, of course, ignoring how much of 4.0's changes they add to Production incrementally -- it would be wise to periodically go back to that isolated demo from ExileCon and compare how it looks to current PoE from time to time. https://linktr.ee/wjameschan -- everything I've ever done worth talking about, and even that is debatable.

" Wut?! What game is this? Or are you just referring to them owning Blizzard now? Last edited by Exile009#1139 on Jan 22, 2022, 8:42:10 PM
