Kind of sad to see a lot of the replys. Sure I would like to see the league earlier too but nice to see you take your time to make it right. Thanks for the early update as well.

Eh, guess I can finally take a break from PoE after a decade. I've done the earlier events but the last two are just the normal game with some extra spice and Scourge might be my least favorite league ever. Yes, even less than Turbo league or whatever the "Monsters are 20% faster" was. At least the other weaker leagues were either pretty inconsequential and/or easy to ignore.
Enjoy your vacations and the summer. I rather wait longer for more polished/finished content. Maybe you'll finally see the light of the 4 month cycle. And please, don't "waste" too much on hard mode, the game is fractured and complex enough already. I'm all for more private league mods though that do whatever you had in mind. ... is not a troll

Thanks for the update GGG. I rewatched some of the now older POE 2.0 preview videos earlier today. It would be nice to hear about 2.0 progress if you can share. I am also hopeful that you decide to share news about 3.17 bit by bit like you used to.
Thanks for a great game and Happy New Year! |

Rest and recuperation is important for creative and technical stuff to make the do good. Terrible grammar aside, enjoy it and have a great time!
If the new season will be delayed two weeks, could the events be stretched a bit longer? At least the non-competitive parts of them. I'm enjoying myself. :) |

" I thought that is exactly the reason why they are delaying 3.17. So it does come out in tip top shape. 3.17 is a very important expansion in terms of player happiness and new endgame content. Last two big patches weren't received so well (3.15 nerf's and 3.16 lackluster league) so another flopping patch would be kinda rough. The three months league cycle is pretty hardcore as it is, with the quality that is expected these days and just the sheer size and depth of the game. I don't know how their schedule works but imagine programming a new league mechanic, balance it for the campaign and endgame, maybe create some boss fights, design new uniques and skill gems and tinkering with the passive tree while not completely breaking the overall balance of the game. Not to mention the corona related issues within the company and work enviroment. I believe that is why we are having a few leagues and patches in a row now that weren't optimal. I rather wait a few weeks longer for a new league than getting undercooked content. Good quality production takes time, it can't be mass produced by an AI like some material thing. The only 'bad' thing is that we are stuck a little longer with Scourge League of all things. |

" You're seeing these responses because lately they've had delays and unforeseen issues repeatedly and even after having these problems the league is still only half ready. |
|
" Problem is they need to be upfront about that being the problem rather than just set expectations and repeatedly fail to deliver. As a consumer it isn't our job to expect delays because the scope of the content is too large. It's there job to manage expectations. I made a post that Chris Wilson had made a verbal commitment to do more community engagement just 3 months ago and has even failed to do that. |
