[gamebreaking] HUGE lags in random maps (into d/c's) [COMPILATION]
Many months ago, I informed GGG I first experienced this issue after a certain patch was introduced in the final month of ritual. Instead of looking into it, more resources was spent on making the game less likable with the introduction of ultimatum and expedition.
Always adding content people don't really care for, and not fixing issues people want to see. (Very slow progress at least) `Spent 2 mirrors on my build, but I'm only Level 98.` LOL
`From just quick sweep of your characters, toxic rain, golems .. sure, non meta... sure.` LOL |

My issues have completely resolved. I bought a new Modem/router, and tried connecting from a server with a ping around 150ish.
My issues were that the last two or three hops in the MTR would drop about 5-10% of the packets sent. Hope that helps! |

the problem only appear when i play this game at night, GMT+7 region.
It happens for almost 2 months already. " Hey, GGG, when you going to fix it? I want to play, especially endless delve. I can FLY!

I've got a fun for you. I just built my new computer, and I still have my old computer fully assembled. Both are on the same internet connected via ethernet cable. I have never had this issue on my old computer. I have this issue on my new computer. The issue being, some maps run perfectly smooth, others go totally to shit (meaning anytime I approach any monsters I get latency spikes, sometimes up into the 1000's), I can switch between computers and the maps that are shit, stay shit on my new pc but are problem free on my old pc. I'm not very smart, but to me that can't be an internet issue... it has to be something with the new hardware. I'm very sad. PLZ HALP

Small depressed update : nothing changed for me, still can't play when I'm at one of the 2 places I live. And I consider myself lucky to have another place to play where things work. But I really hope this get fixed at some point, this issue makes no sense.

I just posted this in a separate thread, but since this has so many views I figured I'd stick in here as well.
------------------------------------------------------------------------- As many others have been reporting recently, I experience massive lag spikes that make the game unplayable. They often spike up to 2000+ ms ping and completely prevent interaction with the client. I've run WinMTR on the server that I was last logged into (Washington D.C.) and included the pastebin here: https://pastebin.com/pfnajWpj As a side note, when I tried logging into a different server (i.e. Texas or Canada_East), I noticed that when I actually created and entered an instance to fight monsters the game would then use an automatically selected server. Usually defaulting to Washington D.C. Since it could just be a single route from my computer to that server that was the issue, I blacklisted that server's IP in my windows firewall. After doing that, the client would then select (usually) Canada_East when creating an instance. The issues persisted there as well. Anyways, I know this is probably a complex issue. Just figured some more data for the devs would be helpful. Hope you guys can fix this soon. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- |

Okay, just a quick update on this. Immediately after posting this I realized that just because the issue happened on the Washington DC server and Canada East did not mean that it wasn't an issue on the route between the server. Geographically, there is a good chance any packets going to Ontario are passing through many of the same nodes as the ones headed for Washington DC.
So I went back into my firewall and blocked both Washington DC and Canada East. Then I manually selected California when logging in. So far, every instance I've created has used the California server. My ping is much higher than usual (about 65 ms instead of the normal 25-30 I get with Washington), but it is rock steady. No spikes or disconnects. Not saying I've solved anything, but others could try something similar, and block some of the closest servers to them that their game usually selects for creating instances. Keep doing that until your client starts using a server that is in a different direction, geographically. Hope that works for others. |

Enjoying the game, when it works (~5% of the time?)
