(3.16) NERFED DO NOT PLAY THIS Raider Archmage BF/BB [CHEAP, Tanky, HCSSF viable, (100m+ dps)
"Nothing wrong with your gear or tree that I can see. Worth trying the Mistwall, it's not expensive, and if it doesn't work, you'll make your investment back. In Ultimatums, I keep up Sigil and Fortify. (And Arcane Cloak, because I have it on left mouse button for move.) Occasionally I'll remember to mix in enduring cry for endurance charged, but really, that rarely happens. I have vaal righteous fire and vaal grace, I literally never use them. The only other tip I've given out frequently is remembering NOT to cast BB immediately after Arcane Cloak, as that can leave you with no mana for MOM to work with. The only other thing I can see is the evasion... so I'm running Mistwall and a Basalt evasion flask. Those together boost my evasion rating by quite a bit, so I have above 7k evasion. If you were to swap Taste of Hate for and your second weapon for you'd basically be running the same gear and tree as me, and I'm not having any problems. Also, should be cheap to try, so I'd recommend giving it a go. Current league IGN: Teldra_Anc_LAD Feel free to message me in game if I'm on. Last edited by grimjack68#6087 on May 14, 2021, 5:30:00 AM

" To my understanding, wrath default quality only improves the AoE of the aura itself, which is useless for us. The only useful quality is Anomalous which is marginal benefit at best since they completely nerfed it due to aura stacking. Question of my own: I want to fit in Anomalous Blood Rage but having trouble deciding what gems to give up. Trigger weapon is a non-negotiable for me as Void Sphere is incredible QoL for mapping and ultimatums. I'm thinking of ditching Ancestral Call but not sure how Vigilant Strike would feel without it. Or maybe put Blood Rage in trigger weapon if that works? Could give up Purifying Flame for that as uptime doesn't seem that reliable on an 8 second cycle? Also replacing the debuff from Divergent quality with max frenzy charges is still a damage improvement for me. |

" damn, seeing the original post is kinda discouraging. I read that the build is super tanky even with 5ex or less invested in the build but then seeing someone with gear like that struggle with t14-16 ultimatums is, like i said, discouraging. im lvling this build now at act 4. hopefully with replica mistwall and flask that person is able to do the ultimatums with no problem |

" What does AOE do on Wrath? How is it helpful? I thought it was aura range or something? i.e. not helpful. |
|
Question Clear Mind gems work when no mana is reserved. But if clarity is reserving mana the gem isn’t working? Is this true or is there some weird interaction happening

What is the most important mods when searching for a weapon? Can anyone please list them out in order of importance.
Follow up question, does xx% increased critical strike chance for spells mod benefit our build at all? |

" That was a mistake in the Clarity POB. The build owner said you should use a regular life/es jewel in place of Clear Mind in the Clarity setup. |
|
" That was my impression as well. I think AOE for Wrath is only useful if playing in a party and you wanted to share the aura buff. Last edited by AndyLovesHisBge#5265 on May 14, 2021, 9:22:44 AM

" The build is VERY nice but I think it takes a level of skill and timing that some like myself don't have. I had good gear and over 11k of mana and solid mana regen, enough to keep up RF easily and I still never felt safe in high tier Ultimatums, or late round simulacrums, basically the areas where you can get swarmed and lose mana VERY fast. If some one has the proper skill level and can get the timing down of BFBB in the most dense situations, they can go very very far with this build. I myself had to give up because of my low skill level. I still got to level 95 but lack of comfort in the hardest parts of the game made me move on to another build which I am much more comfortable with. " Mana, spell damage, cast speed and mana regen for weapon and then any other stats that can help your build (lightning damage, elemental damage, a resist you need etc). This build employs Elemental Overload, so you only need enough crit chance to crit once every 8 seconds or so. I had no issues keeping up EO and I don't think I had any crit chance stats on any of my gear. Bladefall does a really good job of proccing EO.
