[Outdated] Lancing Steel Raider | SoftCore | Not league starter viable anymore

Hey, how do I use the skill gem lancing steel while leveling?
Currently, I'm using call of steel until I got 12 steel shards and then lancing steel on the enemies, which feels pretty bad. I'm just curious what's the recommended way to use the skill :D Edit: Ah, I found my first mistake. Lancing Steel -> Call of steel feels way better because it only removes 4 shards not all of them. Have you tried splitting steel/shattering steel as replacements for leveling? Those alternatives could feel better for leveling before getting the chain + extra proj from deadeye ascendancy.

How is this build feeling in 3.15? And is it something you can take from league start to end game?

yep still strong. although early leveling with lancing steel is really bad. I use shattering until 2nd lab

" Heya! Sorry for the delay. Yeah, the dmg drop because of the support gems made it painful in the leveling, it's hard to clear packs without pierce or chain. Unless you got a source of pierce I'd suggest trying splitting steel. I've been leveling with Splitting steel instead since the clear is better without any projectile effect despite having a not so good single target. Will update the guide after I get some sleep to warn people about that. Sorry for the inconvenience. Fell in love with PoE and now it's my crack. Unfortunately this is the worst leveling experience I had so far. I already stopped playing, because killing mobs takes forever and now i need to kill 1st Kitava.

How are you guys leveling? Im using this as a league starter and I dont do any damage with any of the steel spells. I have it four linked the way POB says to in the notes even though thats different than this page says and every pack takes like 10 seconds to kill. I have my build fourlinked rn right after ]the library. Ive tried fighting izaro but thats not happening because i deal no damage like I said. I may just give up on the league since this kinda bummed me out because this build seems super cool.
