Texture loading on every zone + constant stuttering.
I am also having the problem.

I'm also having the same problem. Every single area I join, or any new monster that appears, brings my fps into a rollercoaster. I also died to invisible mobs twice already ...

I hope they kept a separate code path to revert the texture streaming changes, because it seems like there's just tons of problems with it.
Does PoE not have a beta client? Because beta testing on a live game is, bad, and this is what it seems like. I've also never had a performance issue with PoE, and I've been playing on and off since beta. For me, the texture loading is fine (besides the initial low-res everything, UI included.. for some reason), but vsync appears to be bugged up. With it enabled, there's insane FPS drops/fluctuations when in town or in heavy combat situations (like rituals), sort of like double buffering instead of triple. In Vulkan, it's completely broken. There's VISIBLE microstutter, yet it's not being picked up by any monitoring tools. If I enable fullscreen, the syncing is completely broken and there's artifacting all over the screen. I don't know if this an issue with gsync/freesync, but if it is, it's pretty bad. Edit: No, yeah, they changed the Vsync method at some point and it's double buffered instead of triple, so if you can't keep 100% your refresh rate, it HALVES your framerate. This is absolutely atrocious. I can't find any way to mitigate it. Gsync is not affecting it, driver forced vsync is not affecting it, driver forced triple buffering does not apply to D3D or Vulkan. There's nothing we can do to fix this atrocity. The game needs a triple buffering option ASAP. I can't believe they would've changed it. I don't mean to sound rude, but I can't help the way people interpret my words. Last edited by DAOWAce#0876 on Feb 28, 2021, 7:18:57 PM

Still no fix.

Same issue here, using the Steam client improved a little bit for me. Although it still happens, it just takes less time to load everything. It still is 2-3 seconds though, compared to 8-10 seconds on the stand-alone client.
My specs: - Asus Rampage V Xtreme - Intel i7 6900K (3.20 GHz) - 32GB ram (2133 MHz) - Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Xtreme gaming (8GB) - Samsung SSD 850 Pro (512GB) - Windows 10 (64bit) - Samsung Ultra-wide monitor, (3840x1200) So I doubt the problem has anything to do with my setup, it should be more than decent to run Path of Exile smoothly. Hope they'll fix it soon! |

Adding my +1 to the list, i can say my game was smooth and solid before Ritual launch.
Playing on a ssd, 980 ti & i7 6700k Shame, but also good to see that i am not alone on this. Steam: teemu92

" Something is very very wrong. I updated to latest Radeon driver, and game won't even get past the grinding gears, now |
|
The game was smooth until update 3.13.0b, when all these problems started.
I have a potato pc with an i7 950@3.07gh, 8gb and ATI Radeon HD 5870 Eyefinity-6 that runs the game relatively well with 20 ~ 30 fps, but after the last patch the game does not stay above 5 fps and freezes for 3~5 seconds in each mob group. And the game crashes every time I try to log out. Everything started after 3.13.0b. |

Have Same issue after last update (3.13.0b). Before all been Good.
SP33D Always in my veins...
