3.13 Launch Delayed until January
Yeah....I don't think anyone truly buys this stuff with cyberpunk. The 2 games are quite different, and have different type of core customers. That some people might play Cyberpunk instead of POE,sure, but the core, the hardcore players will not really be interested.
Instead of that, why not simply admit, you are overburdened and you are spread too thin. You simply can't keep up with the 3 month schedule as the covid situation made an already difficult situation a lot worse. I don't think anyone would have been angry if you would have just told the truth. Stop inventing reasons, the new league is not ready, it won't be ready for December, no problem. Work on it,polish it, and make for a better launch in January. You see? That wasn't hard. I did not have to bury all of this under a bunch of lies like cyberpunk and all of that nonsense. League still will be bugfest with first minute patches.
I still couldnt think any explanations why heist rogues couldnt properly open doors from the beginning unless nobody actually test league for at least one day. As it is immediatly encoutered mechanic flaw and not some random skills or items doesnt working properly. | |
It's really not that hard to understand.
China is seemingly the country that boasts the highest number of Cyberpunk 2077 pre-orders. Cyberpunk is going to be very influential on PC gamer time in China, so this is a purely economic decision. I am more interested in learning exactly who's decision it was to delay, rather than bicker back and forth about the reason why. The reason why is ALWAYS the bottom line. "We were going to monitor the situation but it was in the wrong aspect ratio." Last edited by Garr0t on Oct 29, 2020, 11:07:25 AM

" First minute patches come only for micro-transaction shop.... rest come in month or so... so can start for sure in feb or even march with Pre Alpha 0.3.13 anything before is waste of time, because u will not able to do even any of 80% broken challenges. " Maybe it's not on your radar, but I believe that many of us gonna play Cyberpunk 2077 anyway since CD Projekt RED making really good games. And no, this is not overhyped. The Witcher was great and CP2077 gonna be too. I fully understood why PoE creators have decided to delay their new expansion despite these are two different games afterall. What's more their last [bad] changes in-game made me to have a look at other great titles in my Steam library (I am not noobie, playing PoE since 2013 / 2014 with Steam). Just because you don't care, doesn't mean that others don't care too. |

We all get it - launch numbers and player retention, but it is really necessary to wait for 15 days? Many people raise a good point, tho: what if it gets delayed again?
I think this is something you should ask your community. Maybe a typical PoE player doesn't care about Cyberpunk. Make lab optional! Give us another way to get the ascendancy points we need.

I have no interest in CyberPunk to be honest, but I think you guys have done the right thing in pro of the community and a large portion of the player base that does care about such thing.
Well done, hope you guys can launch a well polished 3.13 league using this delay. |
