I remember a PoE release day that fell together with the 6-month Diablo 2 Ladder reset. That friday felt bad because I had to chose between two games I love and two fresh economies I wanted to participate in. Even though I went with PoE, I missed those 1-2 weeks with the godfather of all arpgs - That was what I would call a unfortunate concurrence of game releases.
In hindsight, I know that I should have played LoD back then, since the current league mechanics really encourage you to play SSF at your own pace anyways, unless you like seeing your currency decay in value faster than you can say "toodles". So personally delaying PoE for 1-2 weeks is no biggie. I like your humble attitude of making place for another game release, but think of it in reverse: has CP77 earned that? would CDPR would have done the same?: "Oh damn, we have to delay CP77 again, ah siht, and this time it crashes with PoE, whose solid release-schedule we know of for 2-3 years now. But who cares, it's Christmas $-), there's money to be made! Fun fact: I heared about CP77 and the hype around it, and while I never intended playing it, I now absolutely will not look into it at all. It's like that annoying advertisement that cuts your favourite song on the radio. Every time that happens you swear to yourself: "I will never buy anything of that company ever!" So for the future: be confident of yourself! You are the leading ones in the RPG market! If anything, all the others have to settle around your releases! ps: is there a poll yet? Like: Will you play CP77? I wonder what outcome it will be :D pps: in addition to trade and SSF, it's time for the 3rd option of free small-scale private leagues with no individual changes to the current league, so you can play with your buddies at your own pace and help eachother out without being temped and annoyed by the fukc-overs of trade league. " The problem is that they are willing to release blatantly unfinished leagues like Heist, even after 6 weeks it is still not release worthy, but now suddenly its ok to delay purely because of less income ? While we can all agree that businesses need to make money, this shows that their desire for money drastically outweighs a finished product, and its not even close. |

Will there be new core packs with 3.13?
By the muscular golden arse of Innocence!
What in damnation have you done?! My Divination Cards: Desecrated Virtue (3.12), The Tireless Extractor (3.17) |
|
Players: Why rush unfinished leagues?!
Also players: WHY DELAY A LEAGUE Jesus.. people.. go out and take a breather in the meanwhile. This hopefully means that GGG can take one as well and deliver a polished new league rather than a stressed and pressed one that everyone will complain about for being rushed.
" Except this is not the case, as basic reading comprehension suggests the extra month is NOT to actually deliver a playable league, it will be used to work on 3.14 |

Bad News Time to Search a new Hack & Slay game until February

Well I wouldn't have minded. I'll probably wait a few months until I get Cyberpunk. Got too many unfinished games already, so I'll wait until I can get it for half price and all the DLCs and expansions :D
Also my cynical side tells me, Cyberpunk will probably be delayed again anyway. I wonder, would you reconsider PoE in December if CP is pushed to Christmas?
