0.9.9 Information

I'm one of the types of people who actually don't get a lot of time to play. So the ~25-30 hours I've spent building my character represents a huge chunk of my gaming time.

A wipe would be pretty demoralizing to me even though I do realize this is just beta.

Can't the uber people just start a fresh character for testing purposes instead of wiping everything?

Im just pointing out that current economy sucks ass.
Not only because of newbies selling exalteds for alchs but mainly the difference between ehat an op build can farm and what an avarage build can farm.

Orbs need standard value or rarity index so newbies can see which orb is rarer then the other.
I remember using my first exalted on a level 31 or something bow..

But tbh who would care about a whipe in a closed beta where you are supposed to test stuff, not farm chaos for 500 hours like some people whos names i wont call.

Well, the problem is that it is necessary to avoid having the balance-feedback ruined by far too powerful weapons, not to mention leveling-data and data on economy.

If you really want to play on with the character the previous wipes were just that characters are moved to legacy where you can play on.

The better the game is at open beta, the better it will be recieved by the public. If they need wipes, they should do more now before open beta is, well, you know, open. :)

I'm not going to attempt to list all the features here (I'll update with a lot more info next week), but a few specific things people have been waiting for are:

• The big monster update. All monsters have had their skills and behaviour changed. The new AI system creates some absolutely brutal fights. I die every time I test the game now, often in scary ways.

It's called beta testing for a reason. Some things don't work, and sometimes things go awry. That's when the devs wipe everything and attempt to fix the problem(s). If you want your character to last forever (or as close to that as possible) wait until the game is opened to the public. You knew as soon as you created your character that it wouldn't last too long, and if that got shortened by a month or so, deal with it.
I am all for the wipe and I can't wait to level up my witch again and to test all the new goodies they have in store for us
